Committing tomorrow afternoon. Was long considered an Oregon lean but looks like he’ll be committing to the Vols tomorrow. Dad is former NFL WR Kevin Kasper.
Edit: Actually most Tennessee recruiting guys are saying that they don’t feel very good about it. Kind of surprising given how upbeat they were following his visit last weekend.

He definitely looks like he belongs at UT

I know, everything is pointing towards Oregon.

Oregon is about to go off on a run.

Depends whose money he wants - Phil Knight or Jimmy Haslam?

He probably likes winning too.
Edited: Tennessee has the harder row to hoe in this regard.

I have no dog in this fight but Lanning has to prove he can win as a HC before you can throw that around IMO. Heupel has at least done it at UCF

Oregon has such a talent gap advantage in the PAC 12, especially in the division, that he’d need to be below average to not win.
I personally think he will be a better X’s and O’s coach than Cristobal.
Recruits are buying it too. Washington doesn’t care about winning. USC is going to need a couple years to straighten out the putrid OL/DL recruiting & mismanaged roster of the Helton era.

Playing Devil’s Advocate here - you guys have recruited better than all your competition since Cristobal showed up and it hasn’t resulted in THAT kind of success.
That said, with kids it comes down to their priorities - is it money? Playing time? NIL? Facilities?…. Hell, with an 18 year old, I’m sure who has the best parties could change their mind

Oregon won 2 PAC championships in Cristobal’s tenure. Last year’s team was ranked top 10 until Cristobal decided to bolt.
Usually the proximity and school prestige are the biggest factors. Outside of that, it’s a lot of factors.
Also, Oregon just put their 4th class together with the number 1 class in the conference. The fruits of that are just being harvested.

Going to Oregon and reclassify for the 2022 class

Right. This is a big deal for Oregon. When Cristobal left, the WR class fell apart.
Kasper, Lowe and Prussia, a walk-on with a P5 offer, salvaged the class.
