Exactly so why would any quarterback want to play at LSU when your system doesn't allow the quarterback to throw more?
Les Miles has had three quarterbacks drafted in his time at LSU. Ole Miss has had three QB's drafted in the past 40+ years. Think about that. Let that marinate in your mind.
Has Hugh Freeze ever developed an NFL QB in his time after winning the state championship girls basketball title in Tn. and his time at OM?
That offense is suited for JUCO type QB's who want to have fun in a gimmicky offense with a lot of plastic stats inflated with countless bubble screens every year. Bo Wallace will never play a down in the NFL and will be eating Doritos on Sundays in the Fall as Matt Flynn and Zack Mettenberger make millions of dollars as backups.
quote:
LSU runs the ball and controls the clock, quarterback is treated as an after thought. And that will remain the case as long as les is running the show.
OM runs a high school offense that had Bo Wallace running for his life this past year. Your O-line is horrendous and I see Hugh is now moving a 300lb. former QB to play tackle.

How're those LSU QB's doing right now in the League? Are you proud of producing that many bad quarterbacks?

Cuts deep. The guy coached multiple sports in high school, obviously doesn't have the chest for the SEC.

And Eli Manning will be making more money than both of them combined then slipping on his two Super Bowl rings after the games.

Much better than R. Lane, M. Spurlock, B. Schaffer, J. Snead, Z. Stoudt, B. Brunetti and a few others who have played QB at OM since Eli got drafted.

Your words.

Three of the last four national championship participants ran "gimmicky" offenses.
Where has that gotten OM?

The one good QB OM has put out in the past 40 years.
And you idiots fired the genius who developed him and his brother.
Peyton Manning turned down an opportunity to play for OM (do you blame him?) and Eli wouldn't have gone there either if David Cutcliffe wouldn't have been there at the time.

Eli still has more wins than all of the LSU pro QB's combined.

Well, we've won five more games than the last year in his first season and one more win per year since then. It's called an incline, you wouldn't know anything about that.
But I wasn't referencing Ole Miss, I was referencing how out-of-date it is to call a spread offense gimmicky when it is the most successful offense recently.

He is a great quarterback developer but he made poor assistant hires and they just weren't recruiting. It was going to get much worse before it got better.
Peyton would have come to Ole Miss if Cooper didn't get hurt and he has said as much. That said, I can't blame him for going to play for Tennessee. They were a power at that time.

Matt Flynn, Jarrett Lee and Jordan Jefferson have more SEC Titles than Eli and Archie combined. This is too easy.

Rigggghhhhtttt, LSU is in this nasty decline where Les Miles has seven seasons with at least ten wins. OM has 6 of those in its history. You need to try harder. Really man.

Doesn't make it any less gimmicky.

Worse than the Ed Orgeron years? Interesting.

Shea Patterson would be well advised to play for a team that is a "power" now and not a wanna-be program that hasn't won an SEC Title in 50+ years. No?

I think it's safe to say we aren't getting anywhere. I'll just end it here by saying Franks is really good and will fit what LSU wants to do well, and Patterson is really good and fits what we want to do now.

Agreed.

I agree that he fits what OM wants to do. But does OM and Hugh Freeze fit what he wants to do?
Does he want to play in the NFL? If so, is Hugh the guy you would send your son to play for if he had offers from coast-to-coast?
Does he want to play for a team that has won a conference title or a NC in this era? If so, is that team OM?
Does he want to have fun in an offense that is the same as his HS offense and not learn a true NFL route tree, under center, from Cam Cameron? If so, is that team OM?
Does he want to help his brother get a job as a coach in CFB? This is the really sad thing to me. Could you imagine being a 5* QB with offers from almost every major CFB team and having your older brother trying to get you to go to OM so he can get a real job?
That sucks. Really.

Maybe one day LSU will be on the same level as OM.
Les Miles has more 10+ win seasons (7) in ten years than OM has (6) in over 100 years of playing CFB.
I feel like I'm shooting fish in a barrel, but the fish are floating upside down. It's just not fun. Ok, I'm lying, I do enjoy this.

So because they are not elite QBs in the NFL makes them bad for some reason?
And just so you know Matt Flynn has been in the league at QB for 7 consecutive seasons now, so apprently he has value. Mettenberger started a handful of games a rookie and looked good.

To BlackCloud and the rest of the LSU fanbase: Shea doesn't want to go to LSU, so get over it. Stop being such douches and let it go.

Oh shut the frick up. BTTWW is running circles around you right now. Picking on idiots can only be so much fun. Loses its taste after awhile...don't blame him for moving on.
*Can't wait to see your "way to back BTTWW because you can't battle your own fights against retards" comment from you.

HOLY. shite. You honestly surprise me more and more with every post you make.
2 x 1 = 2
Does 1 x 2 = 2? Yes. I can't believe you just posted that.

Why not? Freeze has shown much promise, while Les has continued to struggle developing a QB. Mett was already developed.

Why not OM? Last I checked, we were 3rd in the West solely because of injuries and return everyone. LSU was 5th in the West with no injuries.

Dude, Cam Cameron fricking blows. Y'all will be calling for his head this season.

It's funny because LSU hired him first and he left for Ole Miss
You're really good at this "everything I post is laughable" stuff.

I saw LSU win 2 of 3 national titles in a 9 year span. USC, bama and UF are the only other schools that can say that iirc.
Idk what your obsession is or why you expect so much from LSU, but it's kind of odd.
