Yep, someone really close to Adams has already alerted UGA guys to that fact. Am I mad about Matthews- no just disappointed in him. What I said about Auburn the team though is truer than you guys care to admit. This coaching staff might not make it til this class even enrolls. Auburn has been known to be impatient in the past, and you guys are once again learning a new offensive scheme and have a new defensive coaching staff which includes Willie Martinez, (s****, s****). Actually, come to think of it , maybe that was the deal with the devil. Auburn gets the top defensive recruits, but they have to be coached by Willie Martinez. Believe me when I say that so many UGA fans are smiling at that.

The good thing is the more big recruits that commit, the more solid they all get. They are looking at how great they could be together.

I just hope we don't give them some stupid-arse name like "The Dream Team".

Wasn't Thomas Davis a secondary player at UGA for BVG/CWM?

He's not talking about the official AU tunnel video, just the yearly video this guy whose handle I can't remember (something like AU and then a few numbers) makes that are always really awesome.

I assume he's talking about A96?

Best Auburn videos made. Better usually than those produced by the University (IMO).

From reading all the AuburnSports dot com updates (mixed with some predictions), I've come to this conclusion (thus far) on Auburn's defensive starters:

Defense
quote:

Normal 43

WSDE: Corey Lemonier DT: Gabe Wright DT: Jeff Whitaker SSDE: Nosa Equae
OLB: Daren Bates MLB: Jake Holland OLB: Kris Frost
CB: Robenson Therezie SS: Erique Florence FS: Jermaine Whitehead CB: Chris Davis
quote:

Nickel

DE: Corey Lemonier DT: Gabe Wright DT: Jeff Whitaker DE: Dee Ford
LB: Daren Bates LB: Kris Frost
CB: Robenson Therezie SS: Erique Florence FS: Jermaine Whitehead CB: T'Sharvan Bell Nickel: Chris Davis

Looks pretty good.

TIFWIW, it's looking like Eric Mack will no longer be playing football at Auburn. Rumor is that he will still, of course, stay and complete his degree. From what I've read on the Bunker, it sounds like he "can", but "won't" continue to do so. He obviously had a life changing experience, and it may have taken a major toll on his life. I hope the best for him. As of now, things could change, but I guess you could say that it doesn't look likely.

I agree. Won't be a top 10-15 caliber defense, but should be significantly improved from last year.

It takes a little while for recruiting to pay off, but the 2011 class should begin making a huge contribution this year.

Kinda surprises me that Dee Ford won't be starting. Sad to hear that about Mack. If he doesn't come back, really puts more importance on signing an inside OL this year.Landing Kozan late last year is looking really important now.

Dee will be more of a pass rushing specialist if I had to guess.

Although I'm not entirely sold on him yet

Agreed, having BVG coaching up the guys will help more than anything, IMO. They need to lose all of the bad habits they learned under Ted Roof.

A few tidbits from Phillip Marshall:

1) He would be very surprised if sophomore Jermaine Whitehead was not the starter at one of the safety spots
2) He said junior quarterback Clint Moseley's arm remains an issue
3) Sophomore Reese Dismukes, sophomore Chad Slade, redshirt freshman Greg Robinson and redshirt freshman Christian Westerman are almost certain starters on the offensive line
4) Depending on when Sullen gets back, I wouldn't be surprised if a true freshman fills the other spot
5) Head coach Gene Chizik praised wide receiver Trovon Reed on Saturday. He's not the first to notice a change in Reed
6) Marshall said he doesn't know of an Auburn team in my experience that had as many impressive athletes in the secondary as this one

“Georgia has a place in my heart. I’m still 100-percent committed to Georgia. I talked with parents about it this morning, and they still feel the same way about Georgia. They love it there, and they’re kind of telling me to stay loyal to my decision."
