I don't see how any parent could let their son go play for a person like Brian Kelly. He is a less morally upstanding version of Bobby Petrino.

I wouldn't necessarily say he was responsible for it. The kid chose to go up there. Chances are he wouldn't be convicted of anything. Maybe negligent homicide. Regardless, he still told a subordinate to do something he knew to be extremely dangerous. In that sense I would agree that he is morally blameworthy, even if he isn't legally at fault.
