I wish Michigan nothing but success after September 1st.

I'm still pissed at how they beat us last time though.

Just curious as to why y'all havent offered Priest Willis yet... He mentioned Bama specifically in an article, and given your preference for 5*s I found it relevant

No idea really. His name has rarely even been mentioned on BOL.

Well I think that Willis would be a safety for us. he is already huge to be a CB and I saw some camp highlights and he would get torched by faster WRs.

So is Matthew Thomas likely going to commit this week?

Said he was talking it over with parents after contemplating committing to us. Isnt that right? And is Derrick Henry visiting this weekend or next? I assume he will stay for a few days

Bama excerpts from Rivals chat today:

quote:

Any 3 star QB sleepers in the 2013 class that may be looking to play in the SEC?

Keith Niebuhr: Wouldn't be shocked if Parker McLeod ends up at Bama. To me, it's Bama or Okie State. Also, Ryan Buchanan of Mississippi ... Think that's an Ole Miss-UF battle

How close did Jonathan Allen come to being a 5 star?

Mike Farrell: Allen is a bit too much of a tweener to be a five star, he will play LB at Bama and it's hard to evaluate him at that position because he plays inside and outside technique in high school and off the edge at times. But he is a terrific athlete and game film backed up most of his highlights so he got bumped.

How is it possible Tim Williams is ranked higher than Tashawn Bower ... ? ( 40+ offers) Bower is a beast and is potiental an elite Def. End at the next level..

Mike Farrell: have you ever seen Tashawn Bower on game film or are you just going on offers? No offense to Tashawn, but he is the guy this year out of everyone who has the most offers based on pure and raw potential and not on the field play. Tim Williams is much, much better.

How is a highly rated recruit's rating impacted if they stop attending camps and similar events?

Mike Farrell: Nkemdiche is still No. 1 and he hasn't gone anyplace so if your film is strong enough and we feel highly enough about a player, they don't move. However, others can move ahead of them if we see something we hadn't seen before from a camp setting.

How did yall decide who was better: LSU' Hayden Rettig or Bama's Cooper Bateman

Adam Gorney: I watched Rettig throw at his high school and he's much bigger and looks great coming off the knee injury. Bateman struggled at the Oakland Elite 11. We like Rettig a bit more.

Does Henry play RB in college?

Chris Nee: He wants to and intends to at the start of his career. Not sure if he lasts at that spot (we obviously have our doubts as we rank him as an athlete). If he is forced to change positions, not sure where he settles in at. I don't feel he is a tight end and he hasn't played defense regularly.

did Tenpenny do any moving?

Brian Perroni: Tenpenny dropped a bit. I think we had him too high last time for a guy that didn't really play as a junior. He is special, though, and can move up with a solid senior season for sure. Other RBs went out and performed this spring to move ahead of him for now though

Do you think Matthew Thomas ends up at Bama??

Chris Nee: Alabama is in the running, as is Alabama, Miami, Georgia, and Louisville - according to Matt. He was very deserving of his bump to five-star status. Game changer.

Also, how has OJ howard performed at recent camps? has he spoken any regarding BAma

Keith Niebuhr: OJ has been terrific at camp. But also he looks terrfic. Best physique I've seen in 2012, with Jordan Wilkins and D. Hand being next

will Bama get Robert Nkemdiche? Does Bama still lead?

Keith Niebuhr: I've always thought Bama was the team to beat. Watch out for LSU though, and I still believe Ole Miss is being heavily considered. Those would be the three I'd watch

do you think arkansas will end up getting tenpenny and hunter henry

Brian Perroni: I think Hunter Henry stays home in the end and plays for the Hawgs. There is still a shot at Tenpenny too for sure but I think it will be tougher than most are saying right now

I see Kendall Beckwith jumped up to 81 do you see him climbing up the rankings?

Brian Perroni: I wish Beckwith would have come to the Five Star Challenge and played LB for us to see. I think we might have to wait until the UA Game to see him as a LB and/or DE against top competition to see him have a chance to move up a ton more

who will have the #1 class

Mike Farrell: Until someone proves otherwise, Bama is the team to beat always these days

Mike do you see WR Robert Foster moving up and getting a 5th star? And where do you think he ends up Pitt or out of state

Mike Farrell: I think Foster stays home at Pitt, just a gut feeling. It will depend on a lot of factors for that fifth star, we just don't see it there as others do yet. But summer eval, senior season and UA Game are all there for him to show it.

Do LSU get Robert N.. or how soon do he commit

Keith Niebuhr: Got a shot. Been there once. And will visit again soon. Says decision coming "sometime" this summer

What do you like about Poggi?

Mike Farrell: very athletic big man who could play strongside end, d-tackle or even tight end if he needed to. Coaches son and smart as well.

THanks Mike do you think the fact Fosters team doesn't get him the ball as much as other top WRs hurts his case for a 5th star

Mike Farrell: that and erratic hands at times, have seen him have the drops in a couple in person evals.

How well does Cooper Bateman fit in the Bama O? Is he comparable to McCarron as a QB? Or is he more like some other active QB?

Adam Gorney: I think he's similar to McCarron. He was great at Dallas Elite 11 but not so great at the Oakland Elite 11. He's a pro-style QB though so he's a good fit.

Is Tenpenny(bama commit) a 4 star because of his knee or is that based on his Film??

Brian Perroni: Tenpenny has a chance to make a big move up if he proves he is back to 100-percent. His soph film is very, very good

Do you take grade risks, when they are significant (i.e. Derrick Griffin) into effect at all in your ratings?

Brian Perroni: Kids still have quite a bit of time to get back on track right now but I think you have to take academic risks into account the closer you get to signing day for sure.

How does someone like Darius Paige with no stars get to commit to Bama? Will he move up in the rankings or does Coach Saban see something that no one else does?

Chris Nee: He will receive his initial ranking later this week. We haven't added any rankings since our initial release of 3-stars so there are a number of commitments/targets that weren't previously ranked.

Chances Auburn signs all of rueben foster, montravious adams, carl lawson, dee liner, & trey johnson? And how likely could trey end up a 5 star when all is said and done?

Keith Niebuhr: I think Foster sticks with Bama

Compare RN vs Clowney...Who would you take??

Mike Farrell: Clowney is more athletic and better.

i think stacey coley has the best highlights of any WR.How his gametape? What are the odds he comes to Bama?I see we have offered him.

Chris Nee: Coley likely stays in-state or heads to Marshall (academics).

do you guys know what you are doing dropping Mckenize Alexander

Chris Nee: He remained the same at the CB spot. His drop in the 100 is simply a matter of new prospects moving ahead of him. I'll be shocked if he doesn't end up higher than he is when the dust settles at the end of the year.

What does Ezekiel Elliot have to do to get an increase in the rankings?

Brian Perroni: Elliott received quite a bump from outside the Rivals250 last time. We didn't get film on him until after the 250 was completed before so he is now where he should have been all along

The difference being Bama's 08 class won a few national titles!

I see Michigan going 12-1 before bowl season with a lone loss to Bama in the Jerrydome.
