Alright lets get an honest eval for Poggi. I like him and really want him. But at TE. Will he make the lineup on the DL, before he is a RS Jr?

WTF you talking about a honest eval? This is our honest opinion. I think Poggi will play before any defensive recruit we get besides Foster and RN. Dont forget that this kids father played in the league and he knows the game kind of like Sunseri. You dont find a 6'4 260 guy who runs a 4.7 everyday. This kids is legit. I dont know why you would say RS Jr? You trippin.

I think y'all are are misrepresenting my position on Poggi. My opinion on him has nothing to do with his ability. It's just odd that he's been rumored to commit to us for over a month now and we've yet to see it.

See, maybe that's where we differ. I see us getting DeMarcus Walker, he just left Florida out of his top group and we were his leader when he postponed his announcement.

Didnt know that. Doesnt matter i still want Poggi. I see that film of him running over kids that are half his size I do see it but the only guy I really would want over Poggi is Adams.

Just got back from golfing all day guys. I shot a legit 77 with 1 mulligan on front and back 9. Won the company tournament by 8 strokes and got me 250 bucks.

I am in no way taking shots at Poggi as a DL, I just think he would solve an issue we have at TE which would get him more playing time earlier.

Long term, I think he has more upside for the next level at DE/DT (3 tech).

Congrats on a good round. 82 is the best round I ever shot and that was a very long time ago.

IDK man im second guessing myself now because Ive seen different things on his size. I was thinking he was around 260 but thats not what ESPN says. If he is 240 I will take Walker instead.

It's obvious that Poggi is a top ranked player, regardless of position. Maybe, and I could be out of line here, our coaches like other guys better. Just throwing it out there.

Thank you, Thank you. My best is a 75 no mulligan on a different course I played today. I used to play college baseball, but after my reconstructive surgeries on my knee and arthroscopic elbow surgeries I started playing golf a lot more. I have been playing since I was 12 and I am 21 now. It helps when you start young. I actually eagled a 351 yard Par 4. I drove it around 335-340 and drained a long putt

Exactly what Im saying. Have you seen him block? Which one stands out to you more. The fact that he is more athletic than the guys he is going up against while playing D. Or did you see that he absolutely mauls at blocking as an H that looks almost just like our offense. Plus I dont really know what Im talking about.

IDK but that kid is wide as hell. Hard for me to see him as a TE but I could be wrong. Wont be much of a passing target.

Best drive I ever had was a par 5 on the old University coarse when I was in school. Reached the green in 2 then 4 putted to screw up my score card

Back then you could walk 18 during the week for $5 with your student ID so we would hit it a couple of times every week.

I hit a 300 yard drive right down the middle on a 575 yard par 5 on the course we always played in high school. I had been having a terrible day so I went Bubba Golf and said frick it. Knocked a 3 wood into a greenside bunker and holed out from there for an eagle. I think I ended up shooting something like a 90 though.

There's also a short 490 yard par 5 on that course, but your 2nd shot is 100% over water if you go for the green. I lipped out an albatross on that one once....and then 3 putted from 12 feet for the par.

Ok eval on Poggi:

As a DL, played both DT and DE in a 4 man on film, and an absolute take, great explosion through the whole body and very violent arms. Uses explosion and technique to quickly shed and attack in the backfield, and a mean swim move. Some OL were so shocked at explosion he bowled them over with a push and little power with ease. Sifts well through traffic and able to square and wrap a lot better than you see with most DL, needs work on determining and dissecting run or pass as he seems to sometimes be in must hit the QB mode, but I saw a few chase downs really a sideline to sideline guy with his athleticism.

At TE:

Punishing blocker, nasty in the trenches, very used to motion offense which I loved seeing, and pull blocking as well, almost like a mini OT as a TE didn't see any catches, but a great blocker. Used his explosion to get leverage and always drive off the line 10 or so yds out of the play.

Just a very physical all around player
