Mostly coaches talks to Coach Nuss and Coach Burton, Coach Pruitt and also calls and reaches out to some recruits, has a good relationship with Cooper Bateman he said, talks to him about once a month, also Jason Smith and a few other AL recruits, asked him about Foster also and he gave me some confidence said he met Blaise Taylor at a camp last year and didn't like him lol said he trash talked too much, hadn't met Cam Luper, but said he heard that both those kids because of their dads are ROYALTY at that school so he isn't surprised to see him step right in and become good buddies
Funny how Foster is listening to kids who cant even get a offer to schools that there dads coach at.

Honest question though. Its a lot of arse grabbing in this thread and I cant pick through it all but could someone explain to me how the hell he ends up at that school out of all the schools in Bama? Does he have family there or something?

LaGrange is really close to Auburn. It was probably the closest big program that would allow him to graduate early. A friend of mine(and former Miss State player) Avery Hannibal, who grew up and played at Troup with Tray Blackmon told me he felt Tray got in so much trouble because he stayed close to home. Said that's why he went to Miss St, to get out of the area and stay out of trouble.

Yah and they have the advance program where you can be an EE, problem Bama coaches had (beside obvious reasons) with Auburn HS is that the d coaching staff pales in comparison to Oxford HS's, when he transferred though Auburn HS coaching staff was telling him they were gonna bring in Charles Flowers from LaGrange and of course he wasn't cleared to coach or whatever in this state, but by then he was cleared to go to Auburn HS instead of Oxford HS

Five Campers to Watch- Part One
Shane Youngblood • 2 hours ago •
Alabama's offer board for 2013 football prospects is hardly a stagnant list. New prospects emerge weekly based on film or camp performance, and with two week-long summer camps as well as an OL/DL day camp in the coming weeks in Tuscaloosa, look for the Tide to extend additional offers before the fall.
Here are five prospects to watch that may be on the verge of a Tide offer, and what they have to do to impress the Alabama staff:
Jonathan Cook
Cornerback
Spanish Fort High School
6-foot-1, 175 pounds
The Skinny:Cook is an example of a highly productive high school player (over 60 tackles with six interceptions) who will need to show good measurables during the summer camp circuit to see his offer list expand. Cook is a technician with a high football IQ, and programs are starting to take notice as evidenced by recent offers by Ole Miss and Penn State.
BOL's Take: Given Alabama's need at corner, don't be surprised to see Cook land a Tide offer with an impressive camp. With teammate Deon Johnson already in the mix, an Alabama offer would make the Tide tough to beat here.
James Cox
Wide Receiver
Northridge High School
6-foot-1, 194 pounds
The Skinny: Overshadowed by 2014 five-star teammate Bo Scarborough, Cox is a physical, solid receiver who recently landed two new offers from Arkansas and Southern Mississippi to go along with earlier overtures from Mississippi State and Purdue. Space may be tight in the Tide's class for another receiver, but Cox, as a hometown prospect, could impress the Tide's staff with a strong showing at camp. Cox's game is a little like former Tide star Darius Hanks.
BOL's Take: Cox is likely a long shot for an Alabama offer, but when UA gambles on a spot it is usually with an in-state talent.
Cornelius Elder
Athlete
Ensworth (Tenn.) Nashville
5-foot-10, 165 pounds
The Skinny: Elder can do it all, and not just from a figurative standpoint. Elder had 22 rushing touchdowns, five receiving touchdowns and five interceptions as a junior while starring at point guard for his high school's state championship squad. Elder likely projects on offense at the next level because of his ball skills, and Alabama would likely use him as a slot receiver/kick return specialist.
BOL's Take: Many believe Elder will head to Vanderbilt for his college playing days, but Alabama could get in it with a summer offer.
Ryan Jenkins
Wide Receiver
Lassiter (Ga.) High School
5-foot-10, 182 pounds
The Skinny: Jenkins' stock has exploded since the spring camp/combine season, and with a recent transfer to pass-happy Lassiter and prolific signal-caller Eddie Printz, expect his offer total to be in the 30's before all is said and done. Jenkins plans to camp at Alabama, and the Tide will have to work quick if the four-star prospect sticks with a July decision date.
BOL's Take: Jenkins' father played at Tennessee and he has a brother currently at Clemson, but the Vols have yet to offer and it appears Jenkins is still open at this point though the Tigers still hold an edge. If Alabama puts on the press after summer camps, then UA could be a factor here.
Jalen Ramsey
Cornerback
Brentwood Academy (Tenn.)
6-foot, 185 pounds
The Skinny: Ramsey is far from a sleeper. With offers from nearly every school in the southeast, the four-star prospect will look to land a few missing offers this summer at camps - including Alabama. Ramsey has the prototype Nick Saban-size at corner and is an elite athlete. Ramsey also appears to be open to a number of schools from all over the country ranging from home state Tennessee to Washington.
BOL's Take: There is a good chance Ramsey lands an Alabama offer this summer, and it will be interesting to see if that would push Alabama into his top group of schools.

Would hate for him to go to the bad guys. I mean the whole he will go to the NFL wherever he goes is a correct statement but the round he goes in depends on what school he goes to.

Over the past few years, ASA College in New York has produced some very talented prospects and this year promises to be no different. One of their top prospects, OT Leon Brown (6-6, 305), recently received his first offer, from the National Champions no less, and he informed JCFootball.com about which other schools could be close to throwing their hats in the ring...
quote:
"I just got an offer from Alabama," Brown told JCFootball.com. "They called and talked to my coaches, got my transcripts and saw my film and then I started talking to them.
"Then when I was talking to them, they told me they were offering me because they like the way I move and how I play the game."
In addition to his offer from the Crimson Tide, Brown said there are two more schools who could be close to extending offers.
"Rutgers and West Virginia have been talking to me for the past few weeks," Brown said. "They are both recruiting me pretty hard, but right now, Alabama is the only school that has offered. I think those two might be next, but I'm not sure."
As a prep at Parkdale (Md.) High School, Brown was a lightly recruited prospect, but that had mainly to do with his academics and very little to do with what he could do on the field.
"I had a bunch of schools after me, but I only got offers from New Mexico and Marshall," Brown noted. "My coaches said it was because of my grades. If they had been better, my coaches said there were a lot of other schools that wanted to offer."
As a freshman this past season for ASA, Brown played the all-important left tackle spot for the Avengers.
"I started every game there and that's where I'll be this fall," Brown said. "This year I'm working on everything, just refining what I have to do to be successful -- technique, footwork, film study."
Brown is on pace to graduate in December and he will have three years to play two following the 2012 football season.

YULEE, Fla. - Derrick Henry committed to Georgia in July 2011, but that commitment is not as strong today as it once was. Henry talks about his commitment, a new school in the mix, and more here.
quote:
Alabama will get a visit from Derrick Henry on June 8 and the Crimson Tide are in the mix for this five-star running back that is committed to Georgia.
Tennessee is in the mix too and Henry admits he is not as committed to UGA now as he once was in this interview.
Here are some quotes from the interview:
"Spring has been going real good. I try to do it all, be an example for my teammates, and help the team win."
"I am still solid, kind of, but I am still having my options open, and taking advantage of this opportunity."
"A lot of schools have come by so I am taking advantage of this opportunity."
"I would say, I am not as strong as I used to be [to Georgia]."
"I am still looking at schools and making sure I am doing the right thing."
"I will be visiting Alabama and Tennessee this summer - I will be at Alabama on June 8."
"Alabama is a powerhouse right now. I am really high on them."
"UT is an exciting place and I really enjoyed it when I went there. I think they could be special in the coming years."
"I skyped with Coach Richt this morning and I talk to Coach [Bryan] McClendon almost everyday. They understand about my commitment."
"It is not over."

Trust the staff but I would like to see film Carpenter was a sleeper that the staff knew right away could be a high quality starter, he seems that way as well with us being his 1st offer (hopefully he doesn't forget that) and Rutgers
and WVU
on the verge of offering, I'm actually shocked he didn't commit on the spot

Who does your son play for Saint ?
I coach my 7yr olds travel team. We're playing in Auburn this weekend and there are a few Miss. teams playing.
He is playing league baseball at the moment in Caledonia, MS. The league won't allow travel baseball until after the regular season is over.
