BTW, I hope you didn't take offense to my assessment of Michigan. I'm just calling it like I see it. FWIW, I have always thought that the split title in '97 was bullshite. Michigan deserved it more than Nebraska.

Not at all. I just think theyre gonna finish as strong as they have started.

Brother, you want to talk about a grudge? Virginia Tech beat us in the '98 Music City Bowl and I havent wanted them to win shite since. And that was the frickING MUSIC CITY BOWL!!

Still. We won 10 games the year before and played like a bunch of high school junior girls in 2006. I guess it was worth it though. If we played better that season, then Nick Saban would never have been our coach. I'll take losing the Independence Bowl if it means winning 2 BCSNC any say of the week.

I remember I was a little upset when Saban didn't retain Kines. He was a great coach that doesn't get enough credit because he was here at a down time.
