Not suprising since those are his three best offers by far.
I call bullshite on A&M's offer. This is Sumlin thinking he can pull a Petrino move and force us to give ascolese a commitable offer to close up one LB spot to hedge the bet on Dalton Santos, and our #'s are so thin this also keeps Hankins and Harper from both committing to us.
I'd love for Ascolese to be a Hog, but not sure he's the best option but he sure does seem to be a player and a character. I read the story about how connected he is to his mom. It's very much so that way w/ my Italian friends and on Jersey Shore Vinnie is a giant pussy b/c his mom does everything for him. I hope VA3 isn't the same way.
Sumlin needs to know his ploy is sniffed out, but they're so weak @ LB any SEC caliber talent they can keep off our roster is worth a scholly that most likely will be processed in two years anyway.

I always doubted we'd have room for Goodman AND Diamond. I'm hoping Goodman was a backup plan to Diamond, who has since informed the coaches that he'll be signing with Arkansas.

There were 9-10 uncommitted recruits in Fayetteville this past weekend and 5-6 more coming this weekend. Not that we wouldn't have taken Goodman if he wanted to be a Hog but we only have 4 maybe 5 scholarships to give.
If we get DGB and Diamond that leaves only 2-3 and we will take a LB (maybe 2) and a DB (maybe 2) with the remaining scholarships. We make take another WR if there is an academic causality or 2 that we don't know of yet.
If Goodman chose the Hogs we would have probably had to back off on somebody.
