Also helps that not every kid in LA wants to play for LSU as difficult as that may be to comprehend.

Not difficult at all,top prospects have earned the right to attend the college of their choice. And don't kid yourself pal if not for Saban Bama wouldn't be sniffing these LA kids.

Yes Saban has helped UA get into LA for recruits, but do not kid yourself if you think Miles not beating UA in NO 2 years ago, or UA beating LSU at home at night did not have just as much to do with it as well.

Saban is a big reason for UA recruiting so well in LA, but so is Miles.

It's all about the ties Saban established while at LSU.

Keep convincing yourself that. But the fact is a coaching staff has to sell a program to recruits. Not a very hard concept to understand. But you can only sell so many times next year will be ours.

So if you think LSU losing in New Orleans for a NC or a home game, when LSU was the better team that night, when LSU was what 36-1 coming into that game at night and home, with a chance to play for the SECCG and NC last year does not raise concerns for a recruit I will beg to differ. Because the fact is Miles and the rest of the coaching staff lost twice on the big stage and could not close the deal.

And those two games helped to put NC rings on LA players that left the state. Remember these kids want to win rings just as well as going to the NFL. Again just my opinion on the current situation.

Yes that helps, but if LSU would have won in NO and last year, I doubt UA would be in the situation it is battling for these LA recruits. No matter where they end up the fact is every year UA's presence grows in LA and other places as well because UA is winning the big games.

Do not be bitter and it would not matter who I named because it will come down to LSU not wanting him or some conspiracy theory how UA did something that has been hashed over way to many times on this board.

In the end UA got Sims and as a UA fan I am happy. We also got Saban and NCs in the process. You keep recruiting for that dream team and UA will keep recruiting for the next NC.

What is there to answer? My opinion is UA has helped itself in recruiting out of state kids(like in LA) because of what we have done on the field just as much as having Saban as the HC. Again you have to sell the program and right now what Saban is selling these kids they believe it because UA is following through.

What are you waiting for me to throw out names like Collins or Devall to come back and say they were special cases because of certain relationships. Not going to. The fact is winning has helped UA recruit the way it is out of state. If UA was finishing 7-6 or 8-5 the results on the recruiting trail would be far different for UA.
