I was gonna mention the UConn loss in the Pizza Bowl but I figured this thread was referring to the regular season. That game tho

As it turns out, the loss to LA TECH kept Alabama out of the national championship game that year.

Are you fricking high?

Even if we won that game, the 14 point beat down by UT would've kept us out. Yes 14 points was a beat down. The score didn't reflect how bad it was.

We never wolud've jumped Nebraska @ #3. They weren't even close to jumping Va Tech.

Gump hard or go hime, I guess. You are why I hate our fans

If we're doing regular season I guess it would have to be 2008 vs Clemson. We haven't had a lot of regular season OOC losses under Spurrier really.

But hey, I guess it was a blessing in disguise since they hired Dabo right after.

You forget how jacked up the BCS formula was back then.

It was very common for teams with worse records to be ahead of others, thanks to the way they weighed strength of schedule, quality wins, and computer polls.

Pre-2004 the human polls were not the dominant factor.

I was at that game, most every home game that year, and every. single. game. home or away, in 2012. Haven't missed being at an Auburn game since @Arkansas 2011. Calm down.

I haven't missed a UA home game in 15 years and I remember every game. Even the ones from the shite season. I actually watch the games when I go and remember them

The point differentials were so drastic that there was no way we would've come close to getting in.

We were lucky to win the SECG that year. Not the actual game but the fact that shite didn't fall apart.

Gene Stallings was one quarter away from returning to UA as the head coach.

Idaho or Wyoming or whoever it was when Fulmer was let go

It was Wyoming just after Phil 'stepped down' mid-season. The players gave no fricks but it still hurt to lose Why-fricking-oming.

Guess it would be the bowl loss to Penn State.
I think Clemson is the only other OOC loss.
Eta: and did a Bama basically start a LSU fap thread?
