Judging by the numerous videos of the Gamecock tailgating experience, seems you’d like to beat yourselves.

Making it to the Championship game, and playing a competitive game there.

We beat Mississippi State (finally, props to State for being tough), and win three of these games with no other losses:

@ #1 Clemson
#16 Auburn
#2 Alabama
@ #3 Georgia
@ #6 LSU

Well, considering Arkansas has more National Titles than anyone in the SEC, we have different standards than most schools. We expect Natty's. Anything less is failure.

That’s a good one.

I’ll add no choke jobs- and I’m talking choke choke not simply eventually getting beat by a better team after having the lead. I mean no case of we are up by 3 touchdowns on a team we should, by all accounts, beat and then choke it away.

Also, I’ll be pleased with no knee jerk reactions off the field. I’m letting all start with a clean slate this year because it would be stupid to judge by last (first) year but I’d be lying if I said there weren’t a couple of things that raised my eyebrows last season.

In football?

Now, I am not saying Arkansas cannot compete for NCs in football. The fan/booster support is there, and Arkansas certainly can recruit Texas and the South, but if you are going to call a winning season this year for Arkansas a failure, you are unreasonable/delusional.

A 10-2 A&M team with the schedule we have would likely be NC worthy in any other season. There is hardly anyone who would consider it a failure by any stretch.

With our schedule, I think most would say that 8-4 would be a success. Which would mean lose all out of UGA/Bama/LSU/Clemson or win at least one of those and drop one that we probably should win a la Auburn last year. Which is entirely possible.

Your season will be an unmitigated disaster before November arrives if this is your bar for success.

The better question would be "what do you consider a failure" rather than a success.

I would consider 6-6 with a bowl loss a complete failure.

7-5 would have me grumbling.

8-4 with close losses/ no blowouts would be progress.

9-3 would be a demonstration of serious progress.

10-2 would be success.

What is your measure for LSU's success?

Beat Bama?

A&M could go 6-6 this year but still be a better team on the field than last year. That schedule is just one of the worst I’ve ever seen.

Was just going to say this but if we beat OM and KY and then our only win after that is WKU, that would be disappointing.
