Is Kansas the worst power 5 football program right now?

I want to say worse than Vanderbilt and Rutgers

Yes. They've been awful for years now. They really should consider spending that money else where? Maybe to pay more basketball players.

ALABAMA is 30-0 vs SEC East division opponents, regular season, SECCG, or NC game. This takes us all the way back to the 2010 season.

Good luck with that.

Ah, the Big8

The Big 8 was frickin stout back in the late 60s and 70s. Despite Coach Bryant's legendary run in the 60s and 70s, Alabama had an awful run of bowl game losses as well as some surprising non-conference losses mainly to Big 8 teams and Notre Dame from the late 60s thru much of the 70s.

Nebraska and Texas in particular gave Alabama fits although Alabama had some good wins over Nebraska. Missouri even had a few stout teams one of which stunned Alabama in a season opener in the 70s. Oklahoma was of course stout as well.

Bama did beat Nebraska in the first national title game. They got revenge though in 71. I believe an early season loss to Mizzou also cost them a natty in 75.

Nebraska likely cost Alabama a national championship in 1977 as well. Alabama lost at #4 Nebraska in the 2nd game of the season. Then again, Alabama still deserved to win it all that year. We won at #1 USC a few weeks later and handily beat an Ole Miss team that upset Notre Dame only a couple of weeks later that season. That was the year #3 Alabama beat the crap out of Ohio State 35-6 in the Sugar Bowl while the #2 team lost its bowl game and #5 Notre Dame jumped ahead of #3 Alabama after ND beat #1 Texas in the Cotton Bowl. That 1977 snubbing may have been even worse than the 1966 screw job.

#5 Joe Montana & Notre Dame 38
#1 Earl Campbell & Texas 10

Texas had 6 turnovers on the day and ND kept Earl out of the end zone. Two legends in that game though..
