An OM grad once told me that they treated the plants with some chemical so even if you were to get in there and get some buds, they'd make you sick.

He's a right-wing conspiracy theorist though, so I didn't believe him.

that's not true. but really....students don't really pay much attention to it. Some don't even know it's on campus.

Haven't been near it in a long time, but from what I can remember there was a pretty serious barb wire fence and rumors of patrolling security. Still that's got to be pretty tempting for some college kids

Razorwire fence, guard towers, etc.

It's pretty crazy that the same federal government which says marijuana is illegal GIVES OLE MISS MONEY to grow and research it. If that ain't hypocricy...

Im still not exactly sure what those golden drape things they used for blinds are.

With that said it looks deceptively small, the 1st time I saw it I was thinking "this is the library they have for a 30,000 student campus" Once I went inside then I realized that it went 1 story up and about 6 stories down underground.

SC was also recently named one of the top 100 best value public schools. The only school in the state to be on that list ( at Clemson) And I think I just read in the student newspaper that we are about to be the first and only school in the state to offer a doctorate in Spanish.

Squared footage, not books. This is Kentucky. Of course those schools will have more books as more people can read them.

I just like to brag on our library any chance I get. Just saw that as an opportunity. Go along now.

Latest Public Accounting report college rankings FWIW:

Some things of note if you look at recent years. Bama was Top 15 but has dropped in most recent for some reason. Ole Miss has skyrocketed from "others receiving votes" to top 15 recently. Texas pretty much ranks #1 in all categories.

They also rank by Group I, Group II, and so on. I have no clue what that means. Just thought I'd share.
