I'd like to think that also, but I don't like the match up there. Their Bama OL > LSU DL

I will say, if anyone can scheme something for at least a few quarters, it's Aranda.

What he did last year was incredible.

Well, guess we'll see. If you have to commit extra guys one way or another it leaves you with other problems.

Yep. Auburn wasn’t able to capitalize on LSU selling out to stop the run. I think Bama will be able to with Hurts’ legs and with some intermidate passing concepts

This. Only match up you can make a case LSU fares well talent wise is Bamas WRs vs LSU’s DBs... not saying huge advantage, just more up to the task. It may not matter if Bama runs at will and pases only when they want.

Every other matchup is heavily in favor of Bama.

Nothing is impossible but it needs to be a very strange/flukish game for LSU to even be in this game late.

I will say - what Aranda did to perfection last year (and LSU executed) was confusing Jalen at the last minute pre-snap with switches and movement that tricked him into thinking one thing and then seeing another. Because of the timing of it he was unable to check off with Kiffin and change the play. Luckily, Jalen was/is good at not forcing things in those situations and turning the ball over, but it led to a lot of panicked drop backs and mini-scrambles ending in loss or very short yardage.

The only team to do that and be able to do it semi-effectively this season was A&M. They ran the Bear look up front and umbrella coverage underneath/the back and really tried to confuse Jalen on coverage changes. It worked to some extent, especially later in the game when we kind of went cold.

I wouldn't be shocked at all to see Aranda try some variation of that again. But, like last year, it will still come down to stopping the run first. If LSU can contain that then everything else becomes much simpler.

Well, any LSU fan realize there isn't any chance they'll have a big upset against Bama. Just trolling that's all
