You seem to know more than I do.. So is Elander in play? This is the guy I want, but I know it's risky.
eta: per another site, apparently there is a coach out there that is ready to say yes when an official offer is made.. which can't be done until Pierce is fired.. the name is not known to anyone but CDC as he is the only person handling the search..

The delusional texas fans and writters (kethcum, Schumel, Chip Brown and many others) thought just because they all worked together at tcu one of those two coaches would say yes

Unbelievable!
So many saying so much without knowing anything! Wait, before you react, I am basing this on what I believe to be true.
I know nothing. I believe that CDC is in close touch with a few at Texas. People with power who can stay quiet. If you believe that baseball doesn’t have any big donors, think again.
If you don’t think there are people who can keep their mouth’s closed at UT, think again. I, for one, appreciate it.
I also believe that CDC is the search committee, which leads me to believe that he already has a nod from the BOR for the amount it will take to hire the person he wants because they do have to approve it, after all.
That means there has, at the very least, been back channel communication.
The only way to keep things absolutely quiet is to tell no one, unless you need their approval.
No one knows anything until it is announced, unless it comes from the new coach, or more likely his current team when he tells them.
This is the way we roll now, time to get adjusted to it. The speculation is fun, though.
Carry on, and Hook ‘em!

Which mods implied we were getting Schloss?
Chip, for one.
And several others simply by reporting him as a candidate.
Don't get me wrong - ready to make public what CDC has been trying so hard to do these last few weeks (months?).

Maybe texas should be rolling up the truck to Link Jarrett's home... he did work at Notre Dame too.

he is a FSU alum, but he is 100% the type of coach CDC normally hires.. it usually comes out of left field, but is a great hire
that being said, I think we have a better chance of landing Schloss with Vitello as his hitting coach

he makes a little under $1 million.. so maybe we should offer him 10 years $75 million

He is.
I really like Corbin, too.
I don’t see a lot of their games. Though I have seen his teams beaten, I haven’t seen him outcoached.
Hook ‘em!
