So your implication that the vaccination solves every problem, I would say that has not been substantiated,

Can we get a rule if you post about covid/vaccines that is not directly about players missing a game... that you are banned from the board?
Seconded

Don’t blame this on Covid, Mac whipped Cam’s arse, end of story.

Think he was discussing it in the context of the idea that your team being fully vaccinated means you have basically "solved any potential COVID problem", and he's noting that isn't really the case.

What's the NFL's policy at this point if a teammates tests positive? If everyone is vaccinated and asymptomatic, that at least prevents a quarantine situation I'd imagine.

But as said, I don't think it's ever been sold as the end all/be all. Just a layer of protection.

But does it change protocol, Bill? Protocol, the thing where you have to sit all these close contact players for weeks at a time. Does it change that Bill?

I think that was kind of his point. Players being vaccinated doesn't change that protocol, and teams are still going to deal with roster issues regardless of the vaccination status of the players on their teams.

yet in pretty much every place, 95-99% of new cases are among the unvaccinated, and hospitalization rates and death rates are even more highly made up of the unvaccinated.

that's not what the stats are showing anymore, especially with new cases. Maybe back in January and February, but those numbers are slanting more and more in the other direction. Maybe it's because the effects of the vaccine are wearing off, maybe it's because it's not as effective against the delta variant, maybe the effiacy of the vaccine isn't as good as they thought. But those 95-99% numbers are not accurate any longer, not here or worldwide.

Even though it is possible to still get COVID after being fully vaccinated, a minority of the population makes up an overwhelming majority of cases, and nearly all deaths and hospitalizations.

you don't have to be hospitlized or die for NFL COVID protocols to kick in when someone tests positive

My old lady unvaccinated caught it and was sick for 2 days about a month ago. I lived in the same house and slept in the same bed and didn’t catch it. I tested every 3 days until she was cleared to go back to work. So far with people I know it’s 6/6 out of the people hospitalized were fully vaccinated and 2/2 of the ones who ultimately died were fully vaccinated. I don’t trust these numbers saying it’s only unvaccinated just like I don’t trust their covid death numbers. My uncle was listed as a covid death when he was already in hospice on his deathbed from cancer.

Nobody, but punishing word class 25 year old athletes for not getting vaccinated when being vaccinated doesn’t even guarantee “protection” is pretty stupid.

Why are you so anal. If you're vax and you believe it then you have nothing to worry about. Now if your vax and really don't trust it now that's a different story.

Wanna know the definition of a fools errand?

Chasing a rapidly mutating coronavirus with an mRNA therapeutic. There is no metric by which the new normal nonsense ends.

Enjoy you boosters every 6 months into perpetuity.

Im sure the Massage Parlor handjob owner has a lot to say about who is on the team. We will see how he feels about it when it forces BB into retirement.
