Wouldn’t it be cool if all the playoff games were at the schools of teams?

I know there’s way less money that way but the fan experience would be so much more compelling.
Or at least that seems to be the case.
Anyway.

The bowls would never allow it. It would be an awesome idea though. Kind of sucks that if you’re the #4 seed you never get a home playoff game but the #5 seed does.

I like the mixture. Obviously the on campus is more fun for fans, but I think the kids enjoy that bowl atmosphere and playing in those pro stadiums. Having both is fair and makes them different experiences.

Money comes more from TV rights. That said...you really want to play Ohio State or Michigan for a National Championship in Ohio or Michigan in January?

Would be nice to have that home game for #1-4, prolly not gonna happen.
As a compromise, maybe give the higher ranked team 4x the number of access to tickets and even have the field painted how they wish and first dibs on band location. Stuff like that.

When it expands to 16 like we all know will happen, everyone will get a first round game on campus
