Would if I could. Their brand of football fits the SEC perfectly.

A game to look forward to. These homecoming additions are tired and boring.

Lol. Is anyone around that was there 20 years ago? I mean I don't hold it against LSU for being a SCARED organization for backing out of playing A&M mid contract because we were whipping your arse so consistently
Love when Aggiefans bring up LSU pulling the plug when we went dormant, talking about domination, but fail to mention that before ATM's run vs a sleepwalking LSU program, when both schools had ranked teams, and then again since, when both have ranked teams, LSU dominates the series..
As long as LSU has a pulse, it's owned ATM in my lifetime. Aggie brags about a period of LSU Football when LSU was lucky to split H&As with Kentucky and Vandy.
Not to mention the modern era 3-0 run in Football, there's also the 2-0 sweep in Hoops thus far, and the Baseball Tigers taking 2 of 3 at BlueBellPark since ATM joined the SEC..
LSU 6-1 vs ATM in Men's Big Three Sports since Aggie joined SEC..
Aggiefan runs a close second to Bamafan, in deserving Saban to Texas..Joe Jamail and Co please make it happen!!!

I mean you can say whatever you want, but backing out of a contract because you were losing is a chicken shite move. It's no more complicated than that.

Nah. The Gators had their time. They done...
The Seminoles would do much more in elevating the SEC brand.

The Gators will be back in a few years once they get their offense in order.

I will not dispute that, thought so myself. I was against it like most LSU fans, regardless of the skid vs RC with Dinardo era teams.
Especially since it was in an era when though a ranked program, LSU was largely a second-tier contender, not really in the league of the yearly natty title winner, despite beating some of them in some years..game was fun and largely just a blip win or lose. The SEC title was LSU's ceiling back then, even with quite a few Top 5 or Top 10 teams under Arnsparger..the Nebraskas and Miamis and FSUs were just a tad too strong back then..would grind Tigs down late in 2nd Half back then.
It was in an era when playing an added OOC heavyweight was fairly harmless for most all SEC schools.

Auburn has a long history of playing FSU. I have no problem with them joining the SEC. A UGA-FSU and UF-FSU rivalry game situation would equal what Auburn deals with Annually with Georgia, Bama and LSU. We used to play Florida, Georgia and Bama in a row. (amen corner) Obviously it is possible to get thru the coffin corner if you are good enough.
FSU and Clemson would be tremendous adds for the SEC. The SEC generates its own TV ratings. If you want to go by demographics alone, why does the Iron Bowl generate so big a rating share? Not that many people live in Alabama. Though we do play some of the best football in the nation.

I'd like to see them play a real schedule for once.

sure, why not.....my boss is an FSU fan, so i'd like to see his ego get taken down a peg or two.
but i kinda wonder what all this conference expansion is gonna do in the long term (not just the SEC). i mean, it wouldn't shock me if, sooner or later, these mega-conferences start seeing diminishing returns b/c of too many hands in the cookie jar....schools will jump ship, and down the road we may start seeing a bunch of smaller conferences all over again.... JMO, of course.

Kind of interesting to read, but I can't verify it being true. If it is true, I guess it may be one reason FSU did not join the SEC when given the chance. Maybe some old heads remembered all the years FSU asked for admitttance into the SEC and rejected from 1955-1971.
