Kind of interesting to read, but I can't verify it being true. If it is true, I guess it may be one reason FSU did not join the SEC when given the chance. Maybe some old heads remembered all the years FSU asked for admitttance into the SEC and rejected from 1955-1971.

I read something about the award is on a timetable and the selection has to be in on a certain date.
Auburn punter was finalists for Ray Guy Award, but FSU punter was left out with better stats??????...

There is a mix of fans, so just about any school could recruit from the Panhandle. There is not an overwhelming amount of talent or size on a yearly basis. HS football talent is good, but the baseball talent is a little easier to find. The Pandhandle is behind compared to south FLA....

Can he read (defenses), study (playbook), follow rules (insert any),?...........he's already failed before for the first sack. I never want to see any one fail. I would like to see him lying on his back with his teeth chattering like in the NC game one more time.
