He said he wanted to be at a football school, so no.

0% chance that he's even contacted.

Not that I wouldn't love to have him.

No. Pearl made his bed and now he has to lie in it.

Just like Buzz Williams, he didn't have enough patience.
How long was Bruce supposed to wait? I mean who knew Martin would take the Cal job even after he turned down Marquette? Bruce struck while the iron was hot rather than wait around for some UT longshot. AU fired Barbee with the quickness and scooped up Bruce - kudo's to Jay Jacobs & Co.

You think we'd melt that badly? Now if Malzahn up and left, yeah, that'd be a melt for history books.

If we paid him and his buyout. We're NOT gonna pay his buyout tho. Auburn's safe.

I wouldn't handle it well, give me hope for auburn hoops just to snatch it away. With that said it's not happening and all this does is give certain posters hope.

But i agree with you that it wouldn't be even remotely in the same ball park as if gus left.

Out of curiosity, does a thread like this go into your auburn/arky thread topic talley?

Wouldn't be that bad - we may see some Anti-Semite jokes thrown out, but Bruce hasn't really done anything at AU yet. Now if Gus bolted, the melt would be epic.

not sure, would you like to bet on it? or are you going to throw some misdirection and change subjects somehow in the middle of a conversation? are you happily embracing cheating today or are you all innocents falsely accused? it's so hard for me to keep up with the daily 'days of our auburn lives' saga. please advise.

Me either, I love basketball. But I've grown numb to AU not excelling at it, so Pearl leaving wouldn't rock my world too much. I'd be let down, but it wouldn't be too hard to revert back to past apathy.

I will say though, considering my side-walk status is ending in 2 months, it'd suck not to be able to attend Pearl coached games as a student.

why would i bet on something that you're the arbiter of, no matter how misguided?

That doesn't make much sense.

Lol at anyone thinking Marquette offered him the job. Pretty obvious that he would have taken it if offered.

Probably the best way to describe it. The wave of excitement would come crashing down and being drawn back to futility wouldn't be that big of a fall.

As if Auburn fans wouldn't pull the same shite if Butch Jones up and left. I bet we would see multiple threads from auburn fans asking if LK would leave Bama to coach UT. You guys would think it was

no im actually looking forward to watching LK tank your program. i hope hes there from at least 2 years before yall finally fire him

Not the same, because everyone knows that nobody wants to hire LK. The only meltdown would be from TN fans if that happened.

Neither here nor there - why should Bruce or Buzz have been patient and waited for the UT job to come open on April 15th?

What is it that you love so much about our nuts? It's fascinating.

AU has taken what it has wanted from the state of Arkansas, and it has usually brought us more success than Arky has ever known. They are angry because we take the best their state has to offer and become successful off it.

In short, thank you Arkansas for the success of AU football. We couldn't have done it without you!

Not sure we'll ever get over losing Dyer and Mosely to y'all.
