2001 SEC Championship vs Tenn. we went for a forth and 1 on our on 20 in the first half trailing by a TD and with a qb with a bad ankle. Didn't get it but we still won.

Everybody knows you can't "clock it" with one second left on the clock.....

Worst Play Call In Your School's History?

The second short punt formation play after the first blocked punt in the "Punt Bama Punt" game.

Do you know which put coach that in?

Dye?

You are correct! I forget where I learned that but as I recall it was done because Greg Gant was slow .

Posted by busey Not the worst, but the most obvious one right now is the decision to punt on 4th and 1 against Tenn in 2010 when we had a lot of things going our way. It has basically defined Joker's career as HC up to this point.

I'm pretty sure Joker just called another draw play on 3rd and long.

My other would be the basic concept of DON'T TIP THE frickING BALL on a Hail Mary.

Yes, and he admitted it was his fault. If Bama punts from a regular formation, perhaps 250k bumper stickers aren't printed.

Strangely enough, I still see one of those bumper stickers every once in a while. The really weird thing is that they're usually on a vehicle much newer than the time period the game was in.

I saw one on a brand new Range Rover. I guess they are still printing 'em.

One call cost Bama an 11 year winning streak over the Barn. Remember when the Barners were holding up fingers?

The 1994 Auburn game after Auburn had tied it up after being down 23-9 on two interception returns, somehow, someway LSU regrouped and kicked a fg to go up 26-23 and held Auburn.A tad over a minute left and Auburn is out of timeouts and on third down Lynn Amedee has Howard throw again and you know the rest.

Auburn scored all four of their TDs in that game on defense. A 1st quarter fumble recovery in the endzone and three pick-sixes in the 4th quarter.
