When we got shutout by Southern Miss in 2000, 21-0. Great birthday present.

I haven't read the entire thread, but the 2007 regular season ending loss to Arkansas in 3 OT was the most disgusted I ever left a stadium. I just knew that LSU had blown their shot at the national title, and I would have bet my house that there was no way that they would regroup to beat Tennessee in the SEC title game.....

Then Les told ESPN to "Have a Great Day", and the Tigers did!!!

i agree, but must add i think the next week the loss to florida. it was a momentum thing that we lost just before half. And of course Bama last year.

Losing to Tennessee when we were winning the whole freaking game and Dickhead punk quarterback Transfer from LSU to Tenn to beat us..Another was losing to AUBURN in 90's @ Auburn when CURLY THE CLOWN HallMan was our coach along with Mr Pick SIX Jaime Howard..We were kicking their asses the whole game until the 4TH..

i like your answer better than mine. I forgot about those 2. I do remember in the parking lot after the tenn. game we were bitching about no pass rush. Even on the radio for the whole week the bitching continued about this. From that point on defense started to blitz more and we had a great season. I remember the auburn game as tell me this is not happening. Heartbreaking and red assing

LSU- 2001 SEC Championship- never seen a team fold like that, especially with a National Championship berth on the line. The LSU game in 06 I believe could also count, Jamarcus wasn't even throwing the ball to the guy that caught the winning TD(Byrd?)!

UGA- "Hobnail Boot"- stadium went from going absolutely nuts to dead silence in about 30 seconds

Florida- I could name the 52-20 loss from last year, but the most painful is from I believe 02' with Casey "fumbles" Clausen in the rain.

Football the 7 overtime loss to Arkansas. Score wise it wasn't bad, but I was in school then and knew a few of the players. It really killed the spirit of the team. We were west contenders and went on to lose to Vandy which we should have played earlier that season but that's the year 9-11 happened and it was postponed. They really just stopped trying after that.

Florida-2008

Those three had so much riding on them.

Against us? What? Upsetting our bid for the title game? Yall have no shot for the next 3 years, you're recruiting is decent, not stellar anymore. Yall dont develop the talent when it gets to Tallanasty. Coaching sucks to be honest, time has passed by Bowden and Andrews, Fisher is...Fisher.

Oh, my bad. Yall were fighting/rooting for that tiebreaker over BC. Like winning a division in the ACC means shite. Just would have lead to a VTech/FSU snoozefest.

Worst loss? It might not be a blowout, but the 27-17 loss to Auburn @ Auburn in 2006 killed me.

Auburn scored one special teams TD on a botched punt, scored one meaningless touchdown as time ran out on a fumble recovery.

We had a safety

Vaughn hit 4/5 field goals.

And of course, the infamous Leak/Blackmon incomplete pass/fumble.

Harvin only had 5 carries for 66 yards, coming back from a sprained ankle.

Three come to mind for me:

1. 2002 vs Florida, lost 20-13, and a shot at the national title. I can still see Terrence Edwards breaking open late, seeing the pass heading his way, and feeling my knees hit the concrete by my seats when he didnt hold onto it.

2. 2005 vs Florida. JT3 has to start against Florida and we lose 14-10, also costing us a potential shot at the title. What an ugly game that was.

3. Blackout vs Bama this year. I paid dearly for the seats and took my son to the game. I almost threw up at halftime.

Unfortunately if you watch your team for a while you will have a long list... for me:

1) shawn alexander and bama just rolling over LSU at home something like 28-0 or 35-0
2) tim couch beating a supposedly good LSU team single handedly
3) quincy carter and champ bailey making play after play against lsu (98 i think)
4) seeing lsu just emotionally collapse (after the bama game) and lose to arkansas last year (esp frustrating because arky had beaten lsu the year before and I expected them to play with motivation)
5) the tennessee katrina game was tough to watch but I understood... hard to have the emotional stamina for a football game with what a lot of the players were dealing with too. I was half upset for the players and half upset for the fans being put in that situation by circumstances beyond their control
6) about every game I saw in the 1998 season I think
