Sounds like Saban was starting to push him out anyway
Seems kind of a shitty way of disposing of someone who worked for you for 13 years, but it's 100% in line with how Saban operates.
Your first response was spot on but your reply here just reaffirms what a crappy poster you are but its 100% in line with how you operate.

Bama absoletely has a better S&C coach and entire department now. and I say that as an LSU fan.
Dr Matt Rhea is someone that has been and still is at the cutting edge and is an amazing coach. Proof is in the pudding, while everyone else last year saw a huge uptick in soft tissue issues.....BAMA saw a 50% reduction from previous years when Scott was running the show.
These are the 2 best answers ITT. Cochran's obsession with over conditioning led to alot of injuries and empty gas tanks in the post season.
Only 2 things I can ding CNS for is waiting a a year or 2 too long to adjust to the HUNH offenses and keeping Cochran 4-5 years too long. Balou and Rhea are the 2 best in CFB

btw i wasnt saying Bamas is better than LSU but it is certainly equal now.
Many of the things Moffit and jack Marucci did for the 2019 season are the things Dr Rhea is doing. Not really copying but he was already doing those things.
Scott had a really really bad reputation in the industry as someone who would work people into the dirt and was known as a shoulder killer.
I thought Moffit had adjusted and was better than Scott again, I do not feel that LSU has an advantage in this area anymore. And i only really felt like LSU had an advantage here in really 18 & 19. Miles limited Moffit so much with his antiquated views on things.
This is where Nick kills everyone, he fricking listens. He doesnt sit around and think....we are winning so we cant get better. He sees the issues even when winning NCs.
Sucks for LSU

You have no idea what you're talking about. It came out Saban gave Scott the opportunity to sit in on coaches' meetings and learn the on-field aspect to earn the right to eventually interview for a position at Bama or elsewhere.
That wasn't good enough for Scott so he ran to his friend at UGA to give him a job over other more qualified candidates. And we see how that worked out.
If Saban was such a prick then why did Scott stay with him for almost 15 years. Saban/Bama made Scott one of the highest paid S&C coaches and gave him celebrity status, no other Strength coach had his own commercials.
Certainly worked out for Bama as they went out and got the guys who literally invented the way NFL and CFB does S&C. Certainly Bama players' ACLs appreciate it. Ligament injuries have gone down significantly for Bama.
