Some of us had to play the #1 team in the country for our bowl game, and some had to play an also ran from the ACC.

Had that work out for you?

Completely relevant and thoughtful, anything else you'd like to add?

Some day, this list of excuses everyone uses to take credit away from bama will run out.

Actually, it probably won't...

This little "Dynasty" Alabama has going would be so much different if they'd actually played any real teams in the regular season from the East in 2011 and 2012.

It would also help if the Barn would actually be competitive and win an SEC game this decade. It is a Dynasty little man so grin and bear it!

Who is listing excuses, I posted data that shows this trend no matter who wins the west?

yea but we were number 2 in the reg season since we beat a&m so they didn't really matter at all.

I'm honestly not sure how the tie breaker would work in a 3 team tie with an equal number of division and non-division losses. Might have ended up the same, but I guess that's the whole point.

You missed 2010. And in 2011, they were exactly the same. So, in other words, 6 times in the last 10 years, the runner up in the West has faced a more difficult schedule than the winner. This is called NOT STATISTICALLY SIGNIFICANT.
