I worry that you may be having difficulty though, as you transition, determining who your rivals are. If you need assistance send me a DM.

Judging from my fellow Bama posters, it seems to be 85% LSU, 10% Auburn, and 5% Tennessee.

I'm assuming by Debust, you are referring to DeBoer, who has won at every school he's coached, and was in the playoffs a couple of years ago

And has the same number of championships as BK. Not sure why the assumption that DeBust is a better HC.

Yep, a head scratcher. Probably has nothing to do with accomplishing something BK still hasn’t done and in 1/5th the time. Just a totally mystery, I tell you.

Enlighten me. What has he done... made a championship appearance?

Some Bama fans believe DeBoer is a better coach because he beat 2023 Texas in the playoffs while BK lost to 2018 Clemson and 2020 Alabama.

I am not one of them because I don't think 2023 Texas was as good as 2020 Alabama.

Or, and try to follow me on this one, it was the other 19 years of BK’s career with zero NY6 bowl or CFP semifinal wins? Poor LSU fans…they just don’t get it

I'm with you, fellow Bama fan.

DeBoer's win over 2023 Texas is definitely better than Kelly losing to 2018 Clemson or 2020 Alabama.

DeBoer definitely would've beaten both of those teams.

Well hell... Steve Spurrier had zero CFP semifinal wins. Probably because there wasn't a CFP then.

Oh boy, LSU in rare form tonight. I know it’s hard, but try to read things carefully. The post said “NY6 or CFP Semifinals,” since the NY6 bowls (and their predecessors the BCS which everyone counts as NY6) have been around for essentially his whole career. He couldn’t win a single one of the 6 games played every single year for 20+ years…that’s a lot of chances. There are a lot of coaches who have won a NY6 game in that timeframe, a whole lot of them, just not BK.

Why can our coach win a playoff game at Washington but not a simple mid tier bowl game at BAMA?

Who knows, but if we we have to replace him, let’s hope there isn’t anyone in our administration who is dumb enough to pay $100mm for an 18yr veteran coach with exactly zero, I’ll repeat that, zero meaningful post season wins. 100mm for an “unproven” 18yr veteran…that’s when you know you need to burn it all down and start over.

We already paid more than that for a guy who can't win a mid tier bowl here.

Did we though? Glad your coach can win mid tier bowl games. I’m sure that is very, very comforting given the number of times he’s played in them!! 3 seasons at LSU, 3 mid tier bowl games reached…lololololol…and it only cost you a measly $100mm

Ah, back to your 1 season sample size. Grammar, logic, mathematics, statistics…poor Sidewalk, there’s that LA education again.

Be sure to get back to me after year 3 and let me know if he was able to live up to BK’s pristine record of reaching 3 straight mid tier bowl games. That will be hard to match, but DeBoer can try.

Well guy in order to have a level playing field of a discussion... then those things to support an argument should be the same. If you want to say BK never won a CFP game at LSU... then you're correct. If you want to say he never won one at ND, we'll that's dumb because the CFP didn't exist. That's like saying DeBust never made it to a BCS National Championship game... but hell, Les did.

Here, let me ask and you bama fans answer a simple question. Does BK and DeBust have the same number of national championships and have they played in the same number of championship games??? No bullshite... just answers to a simple question.

Wow, you really don’t get it do you. The CFP semifinals have all been played in a NY6 bowl game. They are one and the same for the years the CFP exists plus additional NY6 games that weren’t part of the CFP. The NY6 bowl games existed for all of BKs career…even in 2020. That’s 6 games per year over 21 years, or 126 bowl games that BK could have won but didn’t. He won exactly 0
