Maybe I'm misremembering, but I don't recall the same wailing and knashing of teeth when NC State hired Wade.

I will give you Wade and Kiffin but what is so bad about Kim Mulkey who is one of the most accomplished women in basketball including being in the Naismith HOF. Her awards would take up a whole page here.
The only negative in the press on her was when Griner trashed her for telling her to keep her lesbianism on the down low while she played at a Baptist university. Believe me if Mulkey was a anti lesbian crusader then she would not make a day in womens basketball today.
