But if we finish 4th in the SEC. that’s a REAL bad look for all of us

I thought South Carolina getting Frank Martin would be fun and also great for the league when he was hired.

However, his pattern of losing to a couple glorified HS teams every December only to coach his guys up to beat most of the SEC bubble teams in conference play is a disaster.

I wouldn't go that far at all because I think it just shows what a good coach Martin is. The teams actually improve in leaps and bounds during the season. It does look bad for the league for casual observers and hurts NET.

Just wish he could get them a little closer to that level in early December since his conference form seems to erase about 2 bids every season for the league.

Have to get to 21 wins, counting the tournament. At 16 now. 22 would be even better of course.

State and South Carolina are in the same situation. We are on the outside looking in. State needs to wins out and win a couple in the tournament.

Frank's problem has been youth.

What hurt him really badly was having to dismiss the BB Gun Gang and then losing Felder. Plus it didn't help that PJ left a year earlier than he promised he would (because he had to because Frank found out he was talking to an agent and had probably taken money .... PJ HAD to go.)

So for the first time in his eight years here Frank FINALLY has kids who are growing leaps and bounds and who will pay off enormously in coming months and years.

Frank will win conference championships here and maybe more. He was dealt a really bad hand with the BB Gun Gang and their bullshite. And Felder betrayed Frank IMHO as did PJ.

Frank is loading up right now, AJ will return for another year, Bryant is back. We'll miss Kotsar big time. Kid is having a helluva year. He is going to make an NBA roster,

Kotsar is not ever going to play on an NBA team.

Franks issue has been recruiting. He struggles to keep local top talent home, and his style isn’t great for recruiting blue chips. We play catch-up every year because of it. Without Stetson and BU we are probably close to tourney locks rn. This team didn’t improve skill wise that much, they were unprepared early on and Frank didn’t get a read on how to coach his guys til SEC play
