Why?

Because people who get stupid drunk are annoying at ball games, when I'm actually interested in the game.

I would think you would have to get drunk just to sit through 4 quarters of UK football!

Liquor makes CFL games rowdy as balls, couldn't imagine what it would do to an SEC game

yea there is no official rule for reg season sec games, i dont know about the tourny. id like to see LSU say frick everyone and sell it

Like all SEC schools, we already say frick everyone and bring loads of alcohol into the game. Hell, my wife has one of those giant Louis Vuitton bags that she put whole bottles in. I just put a flask in each of my back pockets and untuck my shirt for a minute. I've never been busted for alcohol and sometimes I've been outright obvious.

They wouldn't make money bc nobody should pay $8 for a beer when we already bring bourbon in for free.

Isn't it advertising too? I could be wrong, but for example, is AB even permitted to advertise at the stadiums? I seem to recall that AB used to put out one of their beers but in whichever schools colors (black and gold stripes in the case of Mizzou) but it seems like some rule was passed and they had to stop that campaign. Could have simply been the result of pressure from some community group or I could be way off all together.

People are already drunk enough before games, to me it is a bad idea to introduce it inside the stadium with emotions running g as high as they do at sec venues. This football stuff is serious business.

There is no state rule against it here in La. as both UNO & ULLLL sells beer at their games. You can also buy booze in the Super Dome for any game played there, football or basketball. There was an article in USA Today last fall bout West Virginia's recent new policy permitting the sale of beer in the stadium, to the effect that game revenues were almost tripled with it being allowed. It was also noted that the LSU game broke all existing records for the amount of beer sold.

Wait, you just said we were already drunk? Beer is not going to make people MORE drunk, it's just going to help people REMAIN drunk.

Shut the front door!! It is? Srsly, you sound like a dude/chick who is easily intimidated and constantly worried that some drunk frat boy is going to clock you when you're not looking. If that's the case, NOTHING is going to change is beer is sold at SEC games.

Nothing. But if you're STILL worried, petition the SEC to have a "zero alcohol family section" at each stadium so you can remain isolated from everyone having a good time.
