Five teams could have a bye week before playing Alabama if they wanted to. Alabama fans need to start complaining and get this shite fixed.
Fortunately there is an SEC rule now about that. No more than 3 bye weeks allowed by other SEC teams.

Will LSU fans obsess about what Saban thinks about everything, no matter how obsure, inconsequential, and even non-existent?
of course they will ... but it aint a love obsession as most bama hicks think at this site and others ... it is a dislike and even a hate fest. for many of the LSU Nation

The whole expansion thing has fricked over a lot of peoples' schedules.
UGA has zero home games in October. Plus, we lost the bye before Florida. Also, we don't play Bama, which means all the Richtites will be praising Jesus that we beat up on a bunch of midget teams. I can already hear it, "We didn't play Bama but we beat Mizzou by 8!"
Kill me.

His entire demeanor will be dependent on if he has the reigning national championship or not.

Wait, you're admitting he'll be back for a 6th season?

Link to the official rule? I would like to see the wording.
It seems like it would be much better for them to schedule the conference games in such a manner that it couldn't happen any more than 3 times, instead of leaving schedules open and then attemtping to dictate something they have no control over (scheduling of OOC games).

Tried. Couldn't find it. I guess I could be wrong but I thought they changed it last year.
They would have to call it the lazy Mal rule. If our AD took some time to study it we wouldn't need one.

Who gives a damn? They'll be the defending National Champions en route to becoming the greatest dynasty since Wooden and UCLA in the 60's..

That's not even Nick Saban. That's some guitar player for the band that covers the NBA intro song.

A better question is, will LSU fans be upset that the Bama-LSU game will have less significance next year? Alabama will be coming off a loss before the game on 10/13.

Um I don't think anyone thought it was Saban.

There was certainly no veiled sarcasm in that post.
