OU is a perfect SEC fit. College football obsessed, no NFL team, blue blood legacy, great BBQ, culturally conservative/southern values. Expansion was coming and a necessity regardless. Would you rather have the contiguous teams the SEC got or be in full desperation mode like the B10 adding Rutgers, Maryland, and 4 schools 2,000 miles away? The SEC dominated expansion.

OU does whatever the University of Texas tells them to do, Mizzou will welcome them warmly again on 11-22-25.

Mizzou has 12 seasons in the last 25 with 6 or less wins. OU has 2. One was an injury record year (last year) and the other was a rebuild year after Riley snaked out (3 years ago). We are not even in the same zip code. You will see this year

Since 1961 Mizzou has 6 years with at least 10 wins

Since 1961 OU has 31 years with at least 10 wins

Agreed. I consider Oklahona a good program.

Florida has 17 seasons since 1961with at least 10 wins, to your 6. Again, you are not even in their league.

aTm has 10 seasons with 10 or more wins which is closer but more than your 6 - thats how bad Mizzou has been historically.

Ole Miss has 5 seasons of 10 or more wins since 1961, there’s your compatible comparison.

You had the mic on the top stage and failed. 2-6 in the SEC in your first season as a "blueblood"

You'll miss it. Repress it, and file it away in your log of bad memories.

oklahoma will be a top program again as soon as they hire a decent coach, but i don’t see them winning 12 games this year or 23 over the next two

You're really gonna hate Florida when Drink takes off for Florida to live his dream to LARP as his hero Steve Spurrier.

You got blown out both times, just like the BIG XII. You didn't belong here like you didnt belong there.

You advanced in a weakened division where the resident powers were down both times, and you know that deep down, now don't you tigger?

They don’t have to worry about that, no one wants him. And he’s way overpaid. 9 million is ridiculous.

Drinkwitz has family living nearby. He is now getting to the point of building the football program the right way. Why would he want to start all over again?
