Why would you go to a shithole for recruiting like Tennessee? Nothing against Vol Nation, but you have to recruit your arse of to be successful there, while at UT, you just have to win and can get a top 5 class every year without even trying. Why again does Muschamp want to go to Tennessee?

Because he's ready to be a head coach, UT extended Brown's contract through 2016, plus he'd lose a lot of money to stay put and still isn't guaranteed the promotion in 2016.. I mean would you take a job with less than desirable working conditions for a $2 million+ a year raise?

I don't think it is Muschamp just because UT will not do business with Sexton because the way this went down. That also eliminates Houston Dale.

1) He'll likely be offered a raise to stay at UT.

2) Again, Tennessee isn't a place he's got a great chance for success. He'd be stuck in a hard position with recruiting this class and have to repair a lot of damage to Tennessee's image.

In the end, it is much better for is career (not money-wise) to wait for Brown to retire and stay at UT and then possibly have the UGA job open up and get his dream job.

I think UT has won the SEC more times then LSU has.

I think the past NFL guys are out - Gruden and Dungy. Butch Davis already told them no once. Houston - No. Muschamp is a no. t-Roy from Air Force is a possibility.

Muschamp comes with energy, youth, and some pretty crazy hype. Their recruiting class would be fine.

So Sexton gets UT both coming and going. I don't know if UT will do business with Sexton the way the Kiffin stuff went down.

Can he be successful at Tennessee? Yes. It is possible and a solid program. It is easier to be successful at Texas and if he really wants the challenge of the SEC, why go to UT when the UGA job (his dream) may come open in a year or two?

He's in a great position. SEC jobs are coming open every year it seems, so why should he worry and rush to take one where he'll have to recruit his arse off since Tennessee' high school talent is horrible.

If it is Muschamp, great for him. I don't think he would be the best choice. Skip Holtz is doing really well. I think he would be a good fit for UTenn as well.

Everyone talks about UT not doing buisiness with Jimmy Sexton after the Kiffin situation but people must realize he is still a UT grad, owns a sky box at Neyland, and donates a helluva lot of money to UT so don't just cross names out there's always a chance.

Muschamp would take the job at Tennessee if offered IMO. He could still bolt to Texas when Mack leaves.

Will would be a good hire for LSU after next season.

I agree with the first part of your statement, not so much the 2nd. $3 million/year to be a head coach is hard to walk away from, even at a stepping-stone place like Tennessee. However, if he goes there, he has burned his bridges at Texas.

I think it would be a good move for Muschamp.

Look at Jimbo Fisher, how long did he wait around to get the HC job and looked at what happened while he was waiting. The program went into the shitter.

And Mack Brown is 58. Bobby Bowden is 80. What's to say that Mack Brown couldn't coach for another 20yrs?

Both Heisman Trophy winner Mark Ingram and Trent Richardson would be pissing their pants if Tn got Muschamp.

Muschamp is a no. I hear Pelini is next on their list.
