Five SEC schools have won a national title in the BCS era Alabama, Auburn, Florida, LSU, and Tennessee. But Georgia has yet to win one even though the Dawgs have came very close.
2002 13-1 SEC Champions Sugar Bowl Champs
Left out because Miami and Ohio State were undefeated
2007 11-2 Sugar Bowl Champs
Left out because of a bullshite non existent rule
2008 10-3
Started as pre-season #1, but a very large number of injuries hurt the team
2012
Potential top 5 team and has a very easy schedule. Toughest game is @ South Carolina and that is really the only tough game
2012 looks like the best chance in Richt's career to win the Crystal

we can see the hook. UGA didn't deserve to go to the title game in 2007.

And this is why UGA won't get it. So sorry.

UGA is never going to win a national title ever again.

Mark Richt can't even win the recruiting war in his own state, how do you expect him to with the National Championship?

Not unless H. Walker has few games left in him.

LSU and Ohio State were the best 2 teams in the nation that year.
If your only loss had been to LSU or Ohio State that year maybe you would have had an argument. But you got beat out for the SECCG by some other mediocre team.

Ohio State?
They had one of the easiest schedules of all BCS teams and only played one top 25 team Illinois which they lost to

No, Mark is not a winner. He is a great person but not competative enough to beat people like Saban. HE is alomost too nice to be a winner in the SEC. HE is not very intense.
I would be willing to bet that he has a much better perspective on what is important in life than Saban and some others but that can hurt you in football today.

His bark was loud, but his bite wasn't vicious and those recruits he was signing were quite bootylicious.

The Juice Williams era Illini was a rouge program loaded with talent under a great(and shady) recruiters Ron Zook and Mike Locksley
