LSU boosters? Who knows. But that's outside anyones control.
Deja vu for Alabama fans.
Flashback to 2002, Logan Young, booster, nothing to do with the Bama Athletic program. Bama put on probation for 5 years, 2 year bowl ban, 21 schollies lost.

Our boosters aren't dumb enough to brag about it.

Hell, Young wasn't even an alum. That douchebag went to Vandy and still became a sidewalk fan who nearly destroyed the program.

Malone said he told Lyles that A&M doesn't pay for football players

Neither was Updyke.

Read the next sentence I wrote. The punishment we doled out to DJ McCarthy for a relatively unimportant rules infraction is evidence that Les Miles would never become involved in, or hire coaches who would become involved in, pay-for-play.

Moscona's blog shows he did go on an unofficial. Culotta never said Peterson denied visiting A&M in the interview.

Peterson Responds to Allegations
Former LSU defensive back Patrick Peterson responded Thursday to allegations that a man claiming to represent Peterson tried to solicit money for his commitment as a recruit in 2007.
Van Malone, a former Texas A&M assistant football coach, has said Texas-based football trainer Willie Lyles attempted to solicit at least $80,000 in exchange for Peterson’s commitment. Thursday, 104.5 ESPN reporter Jordy Culotta received a text message from Peterson after offering a forum to discuss the allegations. Peterson's text response read, "No I'm good. Cause that's all it is yu know, but thanks any way." Shortly after receiving the text, Culotta spoke to Peterson who said the report was, “All baloney.”
In fact, Peterson told Culotta twice that he never even visited the school in College Station, Texas. That would seem to contradict an ESPN report in which Kelly Naqi cites Peterson’s father, Patrick Peterson Sr. as describing his son’s visit to A&M as “a good trip.” Peterson did later confirm that he took an unofficial visit in August 2007.
“Why would I jeopardize my future over going to Texas A&M and $80,000 when I knew that my future was playing football,” Peterson told Culotta.
Lyles is currently under NCAA investigation after receiving $25,000 from Oregon. Peterson has decided to forego his final year of eligibility at LSU to enter the 2011 NFL Draft where he is said to be the top cornerback prospect.
