and coming from an Alabama fan base that thinks of itself as traditionalists and so cultured in the history and importance of college football in different places and the different permutations.

Bama played UT on the TSIO October forever, but lately we've had to play them on the fourth Saturday. We deal with it.

And you think a conference that gives into Texas' every whim more than the SEC ever thought about with Bama will give you if you to their conference? Alabama at least loves being with the best and feels great full about being a part of the best conference. Texas doesn't. They think the rest of the conference should feel grateful that they are a part of it. Bama wouldn't have the balls to make "The Tide Network".
