My 1st trip to Baton Rouge last year and the choke job we pulled, will always make it a rivalry game to me.

Its a rivalry game to me because I live here in pig land. Not really a hatred but its the game I want to win more than any.
If close games were going to create a rivalry then we'd be fairly close to one already.
Unless Arky becomes a top 10 team consistently then I don't see a big rivalry happening.

Please fellow LSU fans, quit mentioning Alabama as a rival. Alabama has never considered LSU a rival. They just consider it a game that is on the schedule like State and Ole Miss. Alabama's true rivals are Auburn and Tennessee. When you list LSU as a rival of Alabama, you're either too young to know what a true rival is or you're just plain stupid.

The last 5 years the series has been real close. However, it's not a "rivalry" yet. It does seem a little forced. LSU's big games are usually Florida, Auburn, and Alabama.

LSU is not a rival of Alabama. What about this don't you comprehend? LSU is not a rival of Florida's either. Both Florida and Alabama are big games, but rivals, no. Why don't you ask the fans of those two schools if they consider LSU their rival. When I went to LSU, Bama and Florida were just big games. Of course Bama was a bigger game because The Bear was their coach back then and they always beat us. OLE MISS was LSU's true rival back then. We did beat Bama in my soph. year at LSU and lost to Ole Miss which cost us a major bowl game and possible NC title.
