No, it was not. The SEC's dominance didn't start until the 2000's. Auburn for example got left out of the BCS in 2003.

Wrong. From 1975 to 1995 Tennessee only had 4 wins against Alabama. 1982, 1983, 1984, 1985. Aka the transitional years after Bear and Bears last year.
4-16 is a far cry from 10-10.

People go to school because they need someone to teach them. Not to shame those people at all, but I learn about 10 times faster than the average person and can open a book on my own.
I spent a decade in California as a programmer/software engineer or any other fancy title you want to throw on it before semi-retiring. I buy and sell information...except I just buy from some people and sell to others for a profit and my programs/systems do this thousands of time every day automatically.
I mostly sit around smoking weed and make fun of dumb people on the internet these days when I'm not busy.
But yeah, I'm real stupid and the schooling was just too hard.

Again, as I was pointing out, that is the only period of time when Tennessee was elite, well 2 years of it.
He was a coach that was a former player, and never a HC before. So if Tennessee is such a great program, I'm just waiting to hear about all these big name coaches Tennessee has attracted.

Fulmer won 10 in a 12 year span. Tennessee had 9 other wins total in the past 62 years.
Since 1960, Tennessee wins against Alabama 30.64% of the time.

Once upon a time you gave your heart and soul to a hot gal, you had lots of great times, made many memories…but you finally weren’t good enough for her anymore and she threw you out on your ear.
You bounced around for awhile, lived in run down motels, dated a little and tried to get your bearings and self pride back. You finally hook up and hit it off with a little gal who’d been down on her luck too for awhile. As time has gone on, things are working pretty good between the two of you and guess what? …she’s also starting to turn heads as she’s got some of her own confidence back and is a pretty damn good looking gal in her own right.
Someday old flame who originally broke your heart years ago and kicked ya out there for you to figure out life on your own had recently been keeping tabs on you again here and there and finally decides you are good enough again and is acting like maybe she wants you to come back home?
