Of course. I always want to see my little brother succeed.

He's got a great job in St. Louis.

...What?

I just think Auburn has been pretty dang quick to pull the trigger on a coach.

Bama fired a coach one year removed from an SEC Championship.... then a couple years later fired a coach WHO NEVER COACH A GAME....

Okay... so you do want to go there?

Shula: 10 wins in 05; 6 wins in 06; FIRED
Dubose: 10 wins in 99 (win an SECC); 3 wins in 01; FIRED
Stallings: 10 wins in 1996; why did he "retire"?
Perkins: 9 wins in 85; 10 wins in 86; FIRED (don't try to deny it, he is an Alabama alum, he didn't want to leave)
Curry: 9 wins in 88; 10 wins in 89; FIRED (3 straight losses to Auburn)

Very true. They were some messed up times at Alabama. Especially the Curry - though, yes, I will refute Perkins. He left for the NFL, and had to succeed Bryant. Two huge factors.

Let me queue up my psychic powers here...

Seriously, I don't know. The Antonio Langham issue, wanting to devote more time to his son possibly?

We're all entitled to our own Chizik, but Chizik wasn't also banging his secretary.

Or was he?

Dude, you guys are GOOD at covering that stuff up.

I kinda felt Shula got kind of a raw deal a bit, considering he came in during a really crappy time. That said, I guess he's close to our Tuberville. A great season in there, etc, but soft and let the kids get away with too much.

His offense would last a lot longer in the Big 12. Bama gonna make that arse quit.

He also made bad hires and meddled with both the offense and defense, which also lead to his downfall.

Maybe I'm wrong but I've thought all along that it wasn't Gene's idea to hire Malzahn. I'm thinking he had about as much to do with that decision as did Hootie Dale, when Malzahn was hired as his OC at Arkansas.
