It's laughable to think Freeze will leave Ole Miss. He's a Mississippi guy, and coaching their is his dream job.

Look, Freeze has skills and everyone agrees on that. But talent level, school prominence and such things play into chances to win titles.

Example: Sumlin would have never been able to contend at University of Houston, he could only do great by UofH standards.

So who will be Freezes Texas A&M when he decides to move onward and upward?

And will a program like Ole Miss be able to reload with someone of his caliber?

Another?

When did we have a disappointing season under Freeze?

He took a 2-10 team to 7-6, then 8-5, and now has us 2-0 and ranked #14 in the country. Almost overnight he's put new life into a program that was dead and halfway buried. Anyone who thinks what he has done is a disappointment is a fricking moron.

prominence has nothing to do with winning games, just recruiting the players to win the games. Its all about talent and coaching. It doesnt matter where you are. If we can get the players without the prominence or huge stadium then those factors mean jack shite unless youre measuring what a coach did without those factors.

freeze is a gimmicky coach. He has won on talent alone much like Nutt did. His high school offense will run its course eventually. But he'll be there a few more years.

Sorry but I have a hard time believing a program that hasn't even won a conference championship since the 1960's is anyone's dream job

1. Can the Rebels afford a bidding war with a larger major program?

Cool troll thread. I'd be very surprised if Freeze ever left Ole Miss.

2. If he goes, will the Rebels be able to find another coach willing to come to Ole Miss that is comparable?

Yes.

Well, it is. That's why he has had so much early success in selling the program. It's because he knows everything about the program and is truly passionate. Imagine if you were hired at Auburn in terrible times. You would stay there no matter who came calling...am I right? I would never leave OM if I was the head coach. He truly is a fan of Ole Miss.

He'd have to have one disappointing season before he'll be able to "another" one.
