Yup I think Georgia use to have and they got rid of it so we're the last state to still have it.

Ole Miss and Bama student bodies get along probably better than any other SEC schools.

FIFY. The students at Alabama are fine. The "Bammers" who never set foot in a classroom past high school are the ones that blow.

Yes. They put it to a vote and the confederate flag won. They should have done like Georgia and just changed it without voting on it

educated fans get along great at every game. However, the scenario brought up in this thread is walmart bama fans vs ole miss students. The walmart bama fan does not get along with the ole miss student. One comes from a poor back ground while the other comes from the country club. The only hope ole miss fans have in a brawl with the redneck bammer fan is throwing 20s around to distract them.

Nothing wrong with that. It's history. I believe the people voted on it in 2001. Passed 64-34.

Nazism is history too. You'd have no problem with Germany slapping that on a flag?

Yeah, I have tons of friends that went to Bama. Ole Miss and Bama student body demographics, greek systems, etc. are very similar. They both have kids from all over the South, not just their home states and they all like to party their asses off in similar ways.

Ole Miss is kind of like Bama without the gigantic sidewalk fan following and dominating football tradition

Pretty sure South Carolina still flies the actual Confederate flag on the grounds of the state capitol, or did as of a few years ago. It used to fly on top of the capitol building.

Talking about the vote. It's what they want.

The original sec teams all have very similar educated fans. the new guys to the conference don't really fit in with their alternative life style.
