But this defense is going to be at 92 or 2011 level.

It's possible to have 2011 talent, just not quite the same results. I think BAMA just needs to be a beast inside the red zone and get off the field on 3rd and medium and long. I'll take that all day, every day, along with Anderson and Allen assaulting SEC QBs.

You are correct. The team that can pressure the QB and stop the run in their nickle package (without blitzing every down) will have the most success. I think Bama and UGA are the two most likely to pull this off.

The defense that gets to the QB without having to bring the house will control the LOS. You are correct my friend, you have to have the horses to get that done.

I don't think so, as losing Najee Harris is a tremendous loss for Alabama because there isn't anyone in their running back room as special as he was.

Not to mention, that Bama's current crop of new wide receivers are also not as good nor experienced as their last crop of wide receivers.

Bryce Young is no Mac Jones. Instead, he is a very unproven undersized puny little pipsqueak who will inevitably get knocked out for several games and who is still very wet behind the ears.

While Alabama's new offensive line will also take a step back in 2021.

Bama's defensive line isn't going to be as good as 2020, their linebacker corp will be marginally better, but their secondary will be mediocre.

This all translates to the fact that Alabama is very vulnerable to being beat by the upper echelon teams in the division in 2021.

You're crazy, and might want to wait till midseason. The schedule is actually a grind for once.

You've got O'brien as OC and Marrone as o-line coach w/ only 1 returning starter on the O-line and a lot to be sorted out. Cool your jets.

You mean that same LSU team that beat the shite out of UGA the last two times they played them? You know that same LSU team that beat the SEC East division winner in 2018, 2019, and 2020.

Not to mention that we SEC fans have been hearing for over 40 freaking years now, delusional UGA fans claiming year after year after year ad nauseam how they are going to win the Natty this year. Yeah right, give me a freaking break and go bore someone else to death with your insanity .

Those UGA wins and our delusional fans won't do you a dam bit of good when Bama's "worse than last years team" is throttling LSU's arse.....again

Of course there will always be Cowherd's of the world to remind us of how this year's Bama team is not the Bama team of yesteryear or even last year. They will not be as dominant before but I would say ...

Count on that shite happening!

As long as Nick Saban is there, Bama will always be in the NC picture no matter what. No matter how the rules change, no matter how many players we lose, no matter which suckers get brought into the conference.

Can we dig up some threads from a year ago comparing Mac to Tua?

Yes.

Best TEs in the nation
Best Oline in the nation
We've got monster running backs - possibly the best in the nation.
Defense - best in the nation

The only questions on this entire team are at QB and WR

WR - John Metchie - future first rounder, plus an OSU transfer who torched Clemson last year - I think we're good.

QB is the only real question, but QB is a question at most powerhouse teams entering 2021. I think Bryce Young will be a fantastic QB.

Alabama is going to dominate in 2021. I think we'll have 1 or 2 regular season scares due to Young's inexperience, but I see an undefeated reg season, and a meeting with Georgia in the SEC Championship to decide a playoff spot.

If I had to bet, I'd say Alabama probably comes up just short in 2021, losing 1 game to the eventual national champion, and then we win it all in 2022

Perhaps we should wait until the 1st 5 games are in the books before we print the shirts.

I hope Bill O'Brien has tuff skin because he is going to need it this season. The guy is in an impossible position after the year Sark and the offense had in 2020.

Just win.

Look again.

Looked again. There are not four first round WR's (Metchie-maybe and Agiye is a freshman) and a starting first round RB. Who knows where Bryce goes but Mac was drafted fairly high as well and was in his third year.

I think you need to look again. Like I said talented but not on the same level as last four years. Take off the crimson glasses.
