LSU's top four WRs had more receptions in '12 than bama's top four WRs

If you had phrased it that way in your earlier post, then I would not have corrected you.

Boone has more catches and more TDs and less than 100 yards separates them. You try again.

Oh, did ya mean by career? Well this is Boone's first season getting any real PT. He almost left last year bc he was buried. But he still has only 1 less catch and more TDs

Do you even know who our receiveing core is and how highly touted they were coming out of high school?

Read my post again. I wasn't saying Ole Miss shouldn't be in the discussion. I was making the point that other teams have comparable talent.

And I don't care how highly touted they were in high school. All our guys were highly touted in high school, except Bennett who has turned out to be maybe our most productive guy.

Let me rephrase.

LSU returns more receptions at WR by players that actually played significant minutes in games.

LSU returns 135 receptions in 12 games.

bama returns 138 receptions in 13 games.

TOP four WRs

LSU 12 games

Landry 52 receptions
OBJ 40
Boone 24
Wright 18
total 134

bama 13 games

cooper 53 receptions
norwood 26
cr jones 25
bell 17
total 121

Boone: 24 catches, 334 yards, 13.9 ypc, 4 TDs
Bell: 17 catches, 431 yards, 25.4 ypc, 3 TDs

Bell's had the better season

Stats from this year:

Moncreif - 60 rec./ 948 yards/ 10 TD / 15.8 YPC / 79 YPG
Sanders - 34 rec. / 465 yards / 3 TD / 13.7 YPC / 39 YPG
Logan - 37 rec. / 454 yards/ 0 TD / 12.3 YPC / 38 YPG

Cooper - 53 rec. / 895 yards / 9 TD / 16.9 YPC / 69 YPG
Norwood - 26 rec. / 395 yards / 15.2 YPC / 30 YPG
Jones - 25 rec. / 328 yards / 13.1 YPC / 25 YPG
Bell - 17 rec. / 481 yards / 25. 8 YPC / 40 YPG

To say that we don't at least match up with Bama's recievers is ignorant.

In your opinion, every Alabama player has had a better year than every LSU player. You're one of those gumps.

The only Bama WR that didn't play significant minutes in games was Woodson and he only had 1 reception on the year (137 > 135)

And you must be one of those LSU fans that can't carry on a simple discussion without getting upset.

cy jones caught four passes all year. One sec reception to his credit. He had a high of two receptions in a single game. Caught passes in three games.

shinn caught one pass in four different games.

Those are the numbers of a couple of WRs that saw significant minutes at wideout?

My defenition of significant minutes must be different from yours or those two really weren't that productive while they were on the field.
