That would be three years in a row that college football's best conference hadn't brought home the hardware after a run of seven straight. And you know the rest of the nation has loved the last two years for that reason. Does the league have a dominant team capable of returning the title to its rightful place in the Evil Empire (which part of that sentence you identify with is a pretty good indication of which conference your favorite team plays in). The media will select its pre-season division and league champs over the next four days (my money is on Georgia and Auburn as the picks). Almost certainly the SEC champ will be good enough to merit inclusion in the four-team playoff. But will it be good enough to win it?

My reaction if OSU/TCU/USC wins would be the same as if Bama won it. It's not my team so who cares.

I don't think so. It's hard to win a title, and even during the run looking back luck weighed in often. 2011 Bama gets another shot, if not Okie St. may have ended the run there (I don't buy that b/c I think LSU would have won). 2010 Auburn gets the run by Dyer (was he down) to get into FG position to win last second. 2012 Ohio State is banned from a bowl game or they may well have taken Bama's spot in the game.

The SEC basically controls it's own destiny in the sense that if their conference champ has as many losses as the other champs the SEC champ will get in for sure.

A lot of bounces went the SEC's way from 08-2012. To Bama/Auburn/UF's credit they went out and got the job done in the NCGs and earned the titles.

Edit: as for who can win it, I think Bama/Auburn/UGA/LSU all have the top end talent to do so, but all 4 have QB questions of differing degrees. Auburn is probably the best off of those 4 in regards to QB play

I would rather USC/TCU/Oregon win it rather than Bama.... Our streak is broken, so F conference pride outside of OSU/ND/FSU ha

I know every year is the year for UGA, but I do have the feeling 2015 could be a big run
