We lost that game anyway....

Ya'll brought in JC players before joining conference that SEC rules would not have allowed in school.
You also had Nolan playing the race card and intimidating SEC refs.

I guess you think all the above could account for the run through the season/tournament which is by the way, REALLY REALLY hard to do. And yeah... I guess Nolan was pretty scary.

I think we'll be back... but I agree that KY will be back before Arkansas. We are rebuilding in both football and basketball right now. Who makes a run first?

I think Kentucky can and will turn it around before Ark though.

I have no doubts about that

Arkansas basketball can definitely recover. Again, it's about finding a diamond in the rough. Lots of people thought Stan Heath was going to turn out great, but remember he came into the SEC when it was very tough.

Arkansas had a down year but they always seem to be tough, kind of like Miss St. It all starts with getting that top notch coach. Look at LSU basketball. There's a lot of tradition there and for the past couple of years (until now) it was very much down. But they found that diamond in the rough: Trent Johnson.

I have no idea. But I guess the tournament wins all the way up to that NC game were flukes too....

Oh no, nevermind. We won those because the refs were intimidated by Nolan.

+1. Especially since that title game was vs Mike Kryzewzewski. Everyone knows what a wallflower he is . Duke never gets any breaks.

Lets say your posts were not asinine and inaccurate. Lets say you were correct.

The question still remains. Will Arkansas recover? If not, why?

Arkansas is 2nd only to Kentucky in attendance, money, facilities, and tradition. None of these things guarantee success but they are built in advantages that only one other SEC school has.

So, despite your ridiculous attempt to sound half-intelligent, you failed to contribute much.

In '95 Arky was beaten and all UCLA,think it was Bruins, had to do was inbound ball. The guy inbounding rolled ball on court forgetting it had to be touched for clock to start. Hog player picked up ball and shot layup to win game.

You're obviously too young to remember.
Arky will never have the success in SEC they had in SWC in any sport regardless of their perceived money or facilities.

You failed to understand your tradition was built in SWC. SEC much tougher animal.

UCLA beat Arkansas 89-78 to win the title in 1995. Arkansas beat Duke 76-72 to win the title in 1994.

Who did Arky beat to get to finals? I remember the bonehead play but can't remember the team.

Come on now, Bert. I'll give you this argument for football but not basketball. I guess both 1994 and 1995 title runs were flukes? The only SEC team that can claim being a basketball power before Arkansas came in was Kentucky.

LSU had been to Final Four in '81 and '86.

Arkansas won both of their National Semifinal games rather convincingly in 1994 and 1995. I have no idea what team or year your Final Four scenario transpired.
