Doubtful. State loves football and is fond of basketball but they have always been and always will be a baseball school.

I don't know if DanMullins has ever had an incorrect prediction. UGA should be pretty worried now.

We just have to wait for Miles to get fired, Saban to retire and Freeze to die from auto erotic asphyxiation.

Always living in the past, right guys?
Y'all do realize that was fifteen seasons ago, don't you? I mean, hell, we Rebs have six SEC titles but realize that has little bearing on what type of program we will be in the future.

He'll go to the NFL after Manziel leaves.

Winning in one sport, generally has no correlation to the other, unless its a "high" revenue sport.
Because Alabama has done well in the highest grossing revenue sport, it has allowed other sports the opportunity to share some of that extra cash and improve their facilities/coaching/etc... For example, the $$$ we've brought in because of football through increased revenue and alumni donations has allowed us to put together a nice 30 million dollar rebuild to our wretched baseball stadium.
MSU is one of the few schools that might make a profit off of baseball, but it won't be nearly enough to make a financial impact on anything like football, which more than supports itself.
All this success can do is shine a positive light on the University, attract kids from out-of-state (which, is the name of the game for schools in smaller states such as Alabama and Mississippi), and finally get a chance to show others who might not know SEC history, that MSU is a valuable cog in our collection of schools.
As far as improving football? Slim chance. State plays in the most competitive division in the history of college football. The year they won 10 games they finished 15th in the country, but FIFTH (fifth out of six?!?!) in the SEC West. It's not so much MSU is a mediocre football program, rather, the conference they play in makes it impossible for a school like State with considerable disadvantages in recruiting, alumni, and finances, to ever make more than a "once in a blue moon" run at a conference title.
