Why you schedule a halfway decent team prior to conference

I guess Ole Miss was the epitome of that last night. South Carolina was battle tested against some decent teams whereas Ole Miss was not. I expect Ole Miss to get better because of this game, but it sucks that your first loss comes to a conference foe because you were simply unprepared.

Really wasn't listening to the announcers last night.

That's why I thought it'd be a low scoring game, but I did think Ole Miss would win.Still the way those games were spaced out and the weak opposition really hurt them. Again, the Memphis game was okay 'cause Memphis geeks up for them, but OM's offense did struggle in that game.

I still think Ole Miss has potential--but it may take a while to build up like last year.

Agreed. But you know they'll be ready to roll when the LSU game comes around.

That is why I'm feeling good about LSU. LSU has played 3 solid teams that never gave up. Yes, 1 was a lower tier team but is very good at their own level. The Washington game was very good for LSU and was very good for Washington. I like our schedule this year and how it might benefit our team.

Bingo. That's why LSU posters here might want to lay off some of the dirt they're putting on Ole Miss' grave. The particular OM douche posters egging people on are fair game, but general comments should be kept in check.

Ole miss Defense was fine. The offense looked out of sync til the fourth quarter.

Was it just me or did both of these teams look absolutely horrible. Snead over threw every down field pass by over ten yards. How many times did SC get the ball first in goal and have to kick field goal? I know its early in the year but damn.

It looked like 2 "8-4 at best" teams last night. I would never schedule an away game on a Thursday night. Almost a guaranteed loss.
