Why Tremont Waters is SEC Player of The Year

In SEC play:
Waters leads the conference in assists
Waters leads the conference in steals
Waters leads the conference in PPG
Williams : 18.5 PPG
Washington : 16.5 PPG
Waters : 19.6 PPG
And lastly, this is an award for the best player in the conference, and nobody has done more for their team than Tremont Waters.
Including assists:
Waters responsible for 31 PPG
Williams responsible for 25 PPG

That makes no sense. If it’s SEC player of the year it should be what you can do against other SEc players. Tremont got benched from starting the first 4 games so that isn’t even a fair comparison

He was a mediocre 5-17 from the field against Auburn but his defense is decent.
Offensively though, Tremont has never been solid against Auburn, so it may just be Bryce’s D.
