He does that, he's certainly not stagnant.

yea im create a half grind half LSU shirt

fwiw if saban stays in the nfl for another year and les had went to meechigan then if saban returned to LSU he would have the same success or even better at LSU. The reason being is he would be back at the team he built up instead of having them in the way to make things difficult.

he also seems to make outstanding hires for assistant coaches. He doesn't seem to have train wrecks like ensminger and the co- dc stuff.

I told multiple people that Saban was the greatest of all time in CF. they scoffed at that assertion. I told them as crazy as Les is he's probably the second best. I probably would've been taken seriously if I wasn't completely baked.

Everyone is laughing at the "because he is at Bama and we are a superior program" explanation, but it really isn't THAT far fetched. I try not to go full Gump, but let's be honest here for a second. Mike Dubose won the SEC at Bama. Mike Dubose. Mike. Dubose. Let that sink in for a second. Mike. Du. Bose.

Shula and Franchione both had 10 win seasons at Bama despite being pretty awful coaches.

For whatever reason, even shite coaches can succeed at Bama. For a great coach like Bryant or Saban, the sky is the limit.

You are right. Nick might be the best ever. He's consistently very good.

except if he came back here he would match that success or have more because he wouldn't have to deal with as strong of a program to rival him.

dm saban is the greatest coach of all time imo.

CLM, Gundy, Pickens and another guy (forgot who) made a concerted effort to change OSU.

easily the best ever, he has won 3 national titles already and rebuilt two programs. I think his titles are more impressive due to the time it took to pull them off and how competitive cfb is in this day an age. Its a much different game today and alot harder to have that kind of success.

a very underrated all time coach is bill snyder

If he goes 12-0 he should be COY (which is before bowl games).

Being completely homer here but if Freeze gets us to 6 wins, after the worst team in OM history, he should get some attention

He may be better than both Saban and Miles. You've got to be some kind of bad to NOT win at both Alabama and LSU.

Bill Snyder turned around the program Kansas State TWICE.

Kansas State.

Wow.
