Because were terrible. Our run game, passing game, blocking, defense and special teams are a joke. We suck. Chalk us up as a win.

No way, bro. Your defense the past few years has been the stuff of nightmares. Solid running game. Serviceable offense. That's why it's so odd that you're dropping these games.

Offensive playcalling was a joke in all three losses.

Cam gonna Cam though.

Because Alabama makes them quit every year.

They were lucky to face A&M who is atrocious in bowl games.

Don't get me wrong, it's not a horrible overall record. My question is why the recent problems when the team is stacked to the rafters with talent?

2009 was a down year for LSU just like 2010 was a down year for Bama despite the talent oozing from the gills for both teams. The Clemson one was kind of embarrassing for them, but it's not like Clemson didn't come back to pull the upset at the last minute.

Sounds like a program problem.

True, but Bama put a bow on that season with one of the most dominant bowl performances in recent memory.

Why is Bama's schedule so weak this year?

It could be cultural... I mean, is losing in a bowl game because you lack motivation all that different from the masses of fans who leave early if the game isn't exciting enough or if they are losing?

There is that. Whatever else you can say about Les, nobody claims he has Saban's ability to gameplan for an opponent, especially given a month (people talking about this year's A&M game are being silly -- Saban had a whole season to look at, not just one game like he does for bowl season, and his first opponent was VT anyway.)

that LSU AM game to close the 2010 season was a shlacking. AM was never a threat to win that game outside of the first 10 minutes of the game.

I've spoken highly of LSU and acknowledged their strengths. They are a top-flight program who has had problems recently winning bowl games. It's a legitimate question. Do you have anything to add?

Exactly! That was nasty. With LSU, I expect that to be the norm.

Fine, I'll bite your stupid hook. Hang a fricking banner.

quote:

January 1, 2010 Capital One Bowl
Penn State 19 - LSU 17

It was a monsoon on grass. Neither team played well and then Penn St. played less shitty.

quote:

January 9, 2012 BCS National Championship Game
Alabama 21 - LSU 0

Lost to a better prepared and more motivated team.

quote:

December 31, 2012 Chick-Fil-A Bowl
Clemson 25 - LSU 24

A lame arse consolation bowl game, and the effort reflected it. Alabama getting drubbed by Utah is another example of this. This happens to someone almost every bowl season.
