B/c they know Pinkel's not going anywhere and is very close to taking Mizzou back to the next level ala the 60's when Mizzou had the most wins of the entire decade.

Well most ADs probably realize Pinkel has been at Mizzou long enough to establish a friendly working relationship with all the liquor stores up there. No doubt a large portion of his paycheck is simply deposited in the various bar and liquor store accounts as a running tab for the man. It would take years to establish that sort of a system elsewhere.
It would be like if Bert stayed here at Arkansas long enough to buy out the Chick-Fil-As and Golden Corrals in town. He would have no reason to leave. It would be nearly impossible to drag Bert away from that bounty of cheap and greasy food.
It is all part of the new process of hiring coaches. Spurrier wanted great golf courses and a medicine ball to molest. Saban wanted an opportunity to make more disastrous real estate deals. Miles wanted a state and fan base so insane they made him look normal. You have to think outside the box to hire coaches today.
